Dallas, for the Builder Innovator Summit.

Homes are changing fast. I want yours to stay ahead of it.

Automation. Energy control. Air. Water. The systems behind a house that works quietly in the background.

James Garrett of Garrett Integrated Systems helped bring a sharp group of industry leaders together. Good time with Mike Riddle of Riddle Construction, and Tracy Doriot and Bobbi Bjork of Tracy O. Doriot.

I also sat in on the Zillow housing forecast and spent time in the Daltile showroom. Where the market is heading. What materials are coming.

Taking it all home to the PacNW.

Most people think interior design starts with furniture.

It starts with a question. Who is this building for? Before the St George, UT had a subtly tile selected, it had a name, a brand, and a reason to exist.

We built the strategy, drew the identity, then designed every room around it. Every decision in one place, from the first idea to the last detail. If you are developing a community and want it to feel like somewhere, let's talk.

Honored to be a guest and speaker at DPHA •Plumbing + Hardware• annual conference in Salt Lake City.

I shared a designer’s view on what luxury firms need from manufacturers, reps, and showrooms. Then I spent the rest of the time on the floor, talking finishes, lead times, and what makes a detail last.

Thank you, DPHA, for the invitation and the room. Let’s keep building.

Thanks to Molly Switzer Interior Designs LLC for being the sidekick at a conf!

Some clients arrive with a dream that resists the easy answer.

This one did. Not clean lines. Not quiet modern. A European country home with a Gothic soul, authentic down to the bones. We love contemporary. We loved this more.

Raw, hewn stone and timber became heirloom architecture. The pointed arches. The carved rail. The stone range hood. Every decision here was ours to make, and we made each one with intention.

Never perfect. Human and hand-hewn, the way a real home should be.

We design to the dream in front of us. Even the hard ones. Especially the hard ones.

I know how it feels. I have felt it too. What I have found is that waiting is a decision that comes with a price. I wrote about what putting off a renovation really costs. The full story is on our website.

The best buildings give you somewhere to go. Not just a place to live, a place to belong.

Sugarmont is one of our largest projects ever, in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. We designed the shared spaces to carry real life. The kind you actually use on a Tuesday.

A bike shop. A maker’s studio. A demo kitchen. A pool and a real place in the sun. Each one earns its square footage. Each one gives a resident a reason to stay.

Swipe through. This is what amenity design looks like when it starts with the person, not the floor plan.

The best moment is the one clients don’t see coming.

The big pieces are in, and the room already looks done. Then the art goes up. The mirror lands where it doubles the light. The lamps warm the corners the ceiling never reaches.

This is the layer they trusted us to handle. It’s the one that turns a finished room into theirs.

We design the home and everything inside it.

Verso sits in Beaverton. So did the View-Master. Born in 1939, made in this town for decades. We made sure the project had that memory too.

We asked Portland artist Daren Todd to bring it home. It started with sketches; he produced the drawings, the red viewer everyone held as a kid. It became dozens of original works, hand-painted, no two alike, set through the amenity spaces.

Residents do not just live in Beaverton. They live in its story.
