Not every tree with structural concerns needs to come down. In the right situation, cabling and bracing can provide additional support to help reduce the risk of branch or stem failure while preserving the tree.

Cabling and bracing may be recommended when a tree has: 🔹 Weak or compromised branch unions
🔹 Multiple large stems with structural concerns
🔹 Heavy limbs that could benefit from additional support
🔹 A valuable mature canopy worth preserving when appropriate
Proper installation is important. The tree’s structure, attachment points, hardware, and long-term maintenance all need to be considered—not simply attaching a cable between two limbs.

We’ve definitely had our share of wet weather lately, and all that rain can make completing certain tree jobs a little tricky!

At ChipperTree Service LLC, getting the job done is important — but so is protecting your property. When the ground is overly saturated or soft, bringing heavy equipment onto a yard can cause unnecessary ruts, compaction, and damage to lawns and landscaping.

Whenever possible, we prefer to wait until ground conditions are favorable before moving equipment onto your property. Sometimes that means adjusting our schedule or asking for a little extra patience while Mother Nature does her thing.

🚨 PHONE NUMBER SPOOFING UPDATE 🚨

We want to sincerely apologize again to anyone who has received unwanted or suspicious calls that appear to be coming from ChipperTree Service LLC.

Unfortunately, our business phone number is currently being spoofed, meaning someone is making calls and disguising their number so that our phone number appears on the caller ID. These calls are NOT coming from us.

We have reported the issue to the appropriate places and have taken the steps available to us. Unfortunately, there is only so much we can do from our end. At this point, we may simply have to ride it out and hope it stops.

If this becomes an ongoing, long-term problem, we may eventually have to consider changing our business phone number. As a small business that has worked hard to establish our number with our customers and throughout the community, that is something we truly hope we do not have to do.

⚠️ If you receive one of these calls, please contact us and report it. This is especially important if the caller asks for personal information, financial information, payment, credit card or banking information, passwords, or anything else that seems suspicious. Not every tree with a weak or concerning structure needs to come down.

In the right situation, cabling and bracing can provide additional support to weak limbs, multiple stems, or structurally compromised areas of a tree, helping reduce the risk of failure while allowing the tree to remain part of your landscape.

At ChipperTree Service LLC, our ISA Certified Arborist evaluates the tree first to determine whether supplemental support is appropriate. When recommended, cabling and bracing are installed following ANSI A300 standards and as part of an overall tree-care plan.

🌿 Cabling & bracing may be considered for:
• Weak or included branch unions
• Large, heavy limbs needing additional support
• Multi-stem trees with structural concerns
• Trees with valuable limbs we may be able to preserve

🐸🌳 Just Another Day in the Tree Care Business!

You never know who you’re going to meet while working in the trees! This little gray treefrog decided Chip made a pretty good landing spot. 😂

Gray treefrogs are native to Pennsylvania and are incredible climbers thanks to the specialized pads on their toes. Their bark-like coloring also provides some pretty impressive camouflage—perfect for life in the trees!

We always enjoy getting to see some of the wildlife that calls the trees we care for home. 💚

Apparently this little guy just wanted to make sure the ISA Certified Arborist was doing the job right. 😂🐸🌳
