Our favorite time of the year: a seemingly endless amount of fresh produce from our homestead.
Tables, shelves and floors covered in produce and awaiting their destiny.
Some immediately go into our bellies...
Some go to our farm stand...
Some go to the farmers market...
Some are canned and preserved...
And some are simply shared with others.
In our humble opinion, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

Day 4️⃣ & 5️⃣ of our reimagined coop run.

📸The first photo is of our original coop. We thought it would be fun to see the difference.

Day 4️⃣ We installed the canopy roof and drilled holes for the fence posts. Travis then installed the posts while I worked in the kitchen making more batches of salsa.

Day 5️⃣ Travis installed the human-size door. Now we're on the look out for a super unique door handle. Maybe in the shape of a chicken, chicken foot or goose foot!!! If you know where to find one let us know. 😁

Everything is available on a first come first serve basis and we accept cash, Venmo and checks.

Happy Tuesday!
We will be at the DeForest Farmers' Market today from 3:30PM-6:30PM. Our produce is grown with zero chemicals, herbicides or pesticides. It's 100% fresh and fabulous. We hope you get a chance to stop by. It really is a wonderful market.

Happy Strawberry Sunday!
Can you believe these berries are from plants that we planted in May?! Normally strawberry season is about a month long in June but we picked these yesterday and there are still a ton more coming! We didn't think we'd have a crop like this until next year so we're extra grateful. We shared some with our flock and will be turning the rest into jam.
Cheers to homegrown food.
There's nothing like it. Nothing.


⭐Our stand is open today from 10-6 and normally closed Mondays-Wednesdays. (Sometimes we open on Wednesdays to sell overstock from the Farmers Market. )
⭐We will be at this Tuesday's Deforest Farmer's Market from 3:30-6:30.

Day 3️⃣ of our reimagined coop run.

Travis and I dug holes, poured concrete and placed the canopy frame in position to be bolted down. I had to leave to run errands and had told Travis that I wish we had thought ahead to make a special spot for concrete-impressions (like handprints.) When I returned home he surprised me with a chicken footprint and I just about teared up. He was so thoughtful and the impression is stinkin' cute! Thanks, my love!
