The room you start and end every day in should feel like this.

A cramped vanity. A tub you never use. A shower that has seen better decades. A dated bathroom wears on you a little bit every morning.

This bathroom got a full update. A double vanity with two round mirrors, so nobody waits their turn. A walk in shower with glass panels and a half wall. A built in niche for the shampoo bottles and a tiled bench to sit on.

That is what a Capitol bathroom remodel looks like. One project manager is your single point of contact the whole way. Capitol pulls every permit. Our vetted trade partners handle the plumbing, tile, and glass. And all of it is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

Design and selections take time. Starting this fall puts you ahead of the spring rush.

Capitol Construction handles bathroom remodeling across Simpsonville, Shelbyville, Middletown, Jeffersontown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

Your deck could be getting a lot more use.

An open deck sounds great until 3 in the afternoon in July. Or a storm rolls in right as the burgers come off the grill. A lot of decks end up as a nice view you rarely get to enjoy.

A covered porch fixes that. Shade in the summer, cover in the rain, and a space you can use from spring through fall. On this home, Capitol is framing the posts and beams for a roof right over the deck.

Capitol handles the whole thing. One project manager from start to finish, every permit pulled for you, vetted trade partners on the build, and a 5-year workmanship warranty when it is done.

Planning and permits take time. Starting this fall means it is ready when the weather turns warm.

Capitol Construction handles porch and deck construction across Simpsonville, Shelbyville, Middletown, Jeffersontown, and surrounding communities. Licensed, insured, 4.9-star rated, and a 5-year workmanship warranty on every project.

Every house has a list.

A door that sticks. Trim that pulled loose. A light fixture you have wanted to swap for two years. Small jobs that are easy to put off, and hard to find someone reliable to handle.

That is what Capitol's handyman service is for. Drywall, trim, doors, light fixtures, cabinet repair, tile and grout, and the rest of the list. Our trucks pull up stocked and organized, so the job gets done in one visit instead of three.

And it is the same Capitol standard as our big remodels. Licensed, insured, and backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

Fall is when the list grows. Get it handled before the holidays bring a full house.

Great walls do not happen by accident.

Uneven seams, visible screw pops, and corners that are not quite straight. You might not notice them on day one, but once the paint goes on and the light hits the wall, every flaw shows.

On this Louisville area home, Capitol hung and finished new drywall across the walls and ceiling of the entire open living area. Smooth, straight, and ready for paint.

That is how Capitol handles drywall, whether it is one patched wall or a whole house. One project manager is your single point of contact from start to finish, and every bit of the work is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

Winter is a great time for interior projects. If a remodel or a basement finish is on your list, now is the time to get on the schedule.

Remember the tub and shower curtain from Monday? Here’s what it turned into.

Most people put up with their bathroom for years. They work around the cramped tub, the missing storage, and the pedestal sink. Then they finally see what’s possible and wonder why they waited so long.

This is the finished bathroom. A walk-in shower with charcoal tile, a glass panel, and a rainfall shower head. A lit niche glowing along the back wall. A floating vanity with a backlit mirror above it. Built-in shelving down the walls, so there’s finally room for everything. Same window. Same room. A completely different bathroom.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Get on the schedule now and walk into a bathroom like this before the holidays.

Monday we showed you the studs. Today it starts to look like a bathroom again.

The hardest part of living with an outdated bathroom isn’t the look. It’s the daily grind. Bottles lined up on the tub ledge. Nowhere to put anything. A shower that feels like an afterthought in a room you use every single day.

So here’s what went back in. New drywall went up. Large-format tile went down on the floor. Then the shower came together. Big charcoal tile on the walls. A recessed niche running the full width of the shower, so every bottle finally has a home. A hexagon mosaic tile floor. And the window stays right where it was, bringing natural light into the shower. Friday, you get the full reveal.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Book now and you’re done before the holidays.

Some bathrooms need a refresh. This one needed a fresh start.

You know the bathroom. The tub you squeeze around every morning. The shower curtain that never stays put. The pedestal sink with nowhere to set anything down. It works, but it isn’t working for you.

Here’s where one of our Louisville bathroom remodels started. A tub and shower curtain under the window. White wall tile wainscot. A pedestal sink and not much else. So our crew took it all the way down to the studs. Walls open. Floor down to the subfloor. A clean slate for something completely new. Wednesday, we’ll show you what went back in.

Fall is the sweet spot for a bathroom remodel. Get on the schedule now and you’re enjoying the new space before the holidays fill your house with guests.

That bathroom you keep apologizing for when guests come over?

Let's fix that. 💪

A tired bathroom wears on you. Cracked grout you can never get clean. A cramped shower. A vanity with no counter space. It's the first room you see in the morning and the last one at night.

Here are three bathrooms from three different homes. A walk-in shower with frameless glass, a built-in niche, and a mosaic tile floor. A blue shaker vanity with a white marble look top and a round mirror. A tan tile shower with sliding glass doors and a grab bar right where it's needed. Three different families. Three different styles. Same attention to detail on every one.

That draft you keep feeling by the window is not your imagination.

Old windows are a slow bleed. Your heat runs constantly to keep up with cold air pouring in around every frame. Your energy bill goes up every month. And you spend the whole winter in a sweatshirt trying to enjoy your morning coffee.

This week our crew pulled the old second story windows on this Louisville home. One out. Then the next. Openings cleared and ready for the new ones to drop in.

Fall is the sweet spot for window replacement. Weather is still working with us. Your heating system is not fighting a losing battle yet. And you get ahead of winter instead of chasing it.

Remember this one? Here's the latest. 🔥

Back in August we took this two-story wraparound deck all the way down to the brick. Then came the posts, the main beams, and the joists.

Now the decking is down. A roof is framed overhead. The lighting is roughed in.

And the big one: the fireplace is in and framed.

We'll keep sharing updates as this build comes together.

Every project is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty. If a deck or outdoor space is on your list, give us a call!
