This was a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta that needed an ignition lock repair. But this one the key was stuck in the ignition and the car couldn’t be turned off (finally atleast got it turned off after about 20 minutes of wiggling the key and ignition lock).

Either way, this happens. Sometimes in the off position and sometimes in the on position. But the ignition will not turn anymore.

You generally do not need a new ignition (not to say never though). The repair does require the whole ignition lock housing to be removed and taken apart but yes, I can assist you if this ever happens to your Volkswagen.
