Located 6 miles south of I94 in Moorhead and 1 mile north of Sabin, Bloomfield Garden Center is a retail greenhouse providing locally grown annuals, vegetables, herbs and perennials. With 30,000 square feet of growing space, each of our 1

0 greenhouses has become specialized by what it holds: specialty annuals, petunias, geraniums, shade annuals, vegetables and perennials. In addition, we have a wide variety of perennials and succulents, and a retail center (also known as The Barn) to showcase a variety of garden tools, gloves, seeds and a wide array of garden decor.

“Don't die. This family doesn't work without you.” That's all what I wanted to say as I drove Charlie to the VA ER the morning of February 22nd. Four months ago and the only 4 words I remember the Dr. saying is “He could have died.” With 6 IVs hooked up and numbers on the monitor all out of whack, Charlie was incoherent and breathing hard. I wanted to stay but after 8 hours I needed to get home to my scared boys. He survived after 4 days in the VA ICU. On the 5th day he was shocked out of A-Fib and sent home.

Charlie looks more like the Navy boy I met in 1990 home on leave to help with the busiest weeks at Levi Runions Garden Center, his family's business where I worked. We married in 1994 and I loved him as a husband. I appreciated him as the son who gave up other dreams to manage the family business. After we adopted our boys in 2011, I loved him even more as a Daddy. I am most proud of Charlie when he does things with our boys. He wants to be the dad he didn't have by showing the boys love and understanding. Giving encouragement instead of criticism. Most of all, just spending time with each of them. Together and separately. Happy Father's Day. We love you and we are grateful you are still here.
