Best day of the year! We love when Guide Dogs for the Blind - Cameron Park, CA Puppy Raisers make their annual visit to our Sacramento office. The pups sniff around, practice on our stairs, and our team jumps at any chance to pet some hardworking puppies. We love making a difference in our communities, not just through buildings, but through the people who use them too.

What does healing look like when design is rooted in community identity? That question was at the heart of our panel at last week's AMFP NorCal Behavioral Health Symposium.

Lionakis and its project team partners, RSR Construction Advisors and Boyer Construction, presented a progressive design-build case study on Mathiesen Memorial Health — a behavioral health project in Jamestown, CA that explores how tribal community design principles can drive real impact in rural areas. The conversation centered on something we believe deeply: that great healthcare design starts with listening.
