This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation. We are grateful for their sacrifice and thankful for the freedoms they helped protect. From all of us at MoonLighting, we wish you a safe and reflective holiday.

This lady’s backyard got the FULL VIP treatment. 😮‍💨🔥

🚧 FENCE
Crafted with premium pre-stained CedarTone lumber and topped with a crisp lattice accent. This thing is CLEANNN. 👏😎

🏡 SHED & PAD
Installed a drastically raised shed pad so the new Dakota Shed stays high and dry instead of swimming and rotting 💪

✨ PATIO
Customer brought in the Busch Brothers Landscaping, LLC crew to lay down an elegant Rochester Serrano patio, and SHEEEESH… they understood the assignment. 🔥 The Sedona color outlined with that Onyx color border is straight-up class. Backyard is looking luxury-level now.

This whole setup went from “Seen Better Days” to “Hold Up… whose place is THIS?” in a hurry 🤯

Simply Freshening-Up the Old Landscape!

Simply adding a layer of rock. Simply adding a small boulder wall to keep from washing out. Simply converting an untamed garden bed to grass. Simply reusing pavers.

This older gentleman simply wanted the landscape to be easier, functional, and look great.

Balance is key. Too much, leads into more work and takes away from the beauty of a house.

If you find yourself saying “I’m too old for this Sh*t”, give us a call.

Customer states: “Much Gooder?” 🤠

Back in Eagle Lake at this gentleman’s house. Dirt keeps washing out over the years, garage footings were starting to get exposed, the grass had officially retired from trying to grow there. 💀

Figured it was overdue for a fresh little retaining wall before the whole side yard applied for demolition status. 🧱🔥

Of course this “quick easy job” came with a hidden stump buried underground.

Huge shoutout to Pfeffer Tree Service for pulling up on short notice with the most diabolical piece of equipment I’ve ever seen… a REMOTE CONTROL stump grinder. 🤖🌳 Thing looked like it was built by NASA and operated like a Call of Duty killstreak. Absolute top notch crew. 💪😂

Support Small Businesses! 👏

Spent the weekend doing a little land clearing and cleanup work. Got a last-minute request from this sweet lady asking if we could help load some old farm equipment once the dumpster showed up.

Thankfully, she called the crew at The Dumpster Company to bring out a roll-off, and we got everything loaded up and cleaned out for her. Always awesome working alongside other local businesses to help customers reclaim their property. 💪🚜♻️

MoonLighting started off as weekend work, and weekends like this remind us why we love what we do 🌲

Cleaning up 5 acres of wooded property with the skid loader and mulcher head — clearing thick undergrowth, dead trees, and years of overgrowth to open the property back up so this customer can enjoy retirement, take peaceful walks, and spend more time outdoors again.

And yes… the whole project was powered by WhiteGirlBangers playing in the background 😅🎶

Downsizing and upgrading… somehow both at the same time 😅

About a month ago, we sold the very first (and biggest) piece of equipment we ever bought. This week, we turned around and bought our very first brand new (and smallest) machine.

Probably not how most people picture “Growth.” 💪

Of course, we couldn’t make the purchase too normal…So Cody made a tour to every 🏦Bank🏦 (and I mean every bank) in Mankato, Lake Crystal, Vernon Center etc. collecting $1 bills like it was his full-time job. Walked into the dealership with stacks of singles. Safe to say he got a few looks when we poured it on the dealers desk 😂

Big shoutout to Adam with Arnold’s of Mankato for rolling with it and taking great care of us— you’re definitely not an average sales guy.

All jokes aside, moments like this don’t happen without the people who trust us to do the work. Every job, every call, every referral has helped us get here.

What a transformation 🤯🔥

You don’t need anything crazy to make your property look great—just dial in the basics:

1️⃣ Edging – Sharp lines = instant curb appeal. It separates everything and makes it look clean and intentional.
2️⃣ Rock – Brings texture, contrast, and cuts down on maintenance. Plus it just looks solid.
3️⃣ Grass – A lush, green lawn is the foundation. If the grass looks good, everything looks good.

Simple formula. Big results.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more… it’s about doing the right things really well 💯

Throwback to April 1st 2019!

7 years ago to the day. Not too long after this "Thing" started.

Long days with a full-time job and this side gig. No company name yet. No fancy setup. We didn't even have a vision. Just a need to make ends meet.

All we had was a 1977 Chevy, 2-wheel drive dually, with only front working brakes. We borrowed trailers from family, and rented equipment from some friends of Bill W. Plowing snow an pulling around equipment all winter.

Fast forward to this week, we were sitting in a room where everyone kept asking: "What makes you different?"

The answer is deep.

We've never forgotten those days.
We've never forgotten where we started.
We've never forgotten the people who helped us.
And we never take for granted the trust people give us when we show up to their home.

This company was built from the ground up— on hard work, trust, loyalty, and appreciation.

And no matter how much we grow, that part will never change and that's one of the many things that sets us apart.

Budget Friendly Driveway Extension 💪

Running out of parking? Sick of squeezing down a narrow driveway? Or tired of watching the tires sink into mud… because your wife keeps drifting off the edge? 😅

We build clean, solid driveway extensions using compacted gravel with landscape timber borders—so you get a sharp look, defined edges, and something that actually holds up… without the price tag of concrete or asphalt.

More space. Cleaner look. No more mud.
