When a wall is load-bearing, it's quietly holding up everything above it — the ceiling, the floor, the works. You can't just take it out and hope. That weight has to go somewhere. So we put in a beam to carry it across to posts on each end, and it does the same job the wall used to, just without cutting the room in half.

Here's the part we won't cut corners on: we don't eyeball it. An engineer runs the actual numbers and tells us exactly what that beam needs to be. Then we build it to the exact specifications.
