Robbi Firestone Art

Robbi Firestone Art Artist. Meditative Land & Sky Paintings. Conceptual. 203 FineArt.com. Opening July 18. DM for Private Preview. FirestoneArt.com How can my art be of service to you?

Robbi Firestone's practice embodies a fusion of the natural world and a vital interest in the latest technology. The artist attempts to provoke thought using a range of media—from oil and pastels to found objects and virtual reality. Her paintings capture vivid abstracted environments; her installations, such as The Empty Womb, make the personal universal; her digital creations forge a new form of

storytelling that invites audiences to rediscover their connection to nature; and her virtual reality performances suffuse serene landscapes and figures with vibrant, saturated colors. Firestone has studied at Parsons School of Design, New York, NY, and the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA. She holds an AA in Communication Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, NY, and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Recent exhibitions include the National Museum for Women of the Arts: Studio Tour, New Mexico Chapter, Santa Fe, NM; Southampton Art; and WAGMI, CAP Gallery, Kuwait City, Kuwait. Recent performances include Paradigm Shift at Meow Wolf, Santa Fe, NM, and TechnoCanvas: An Immersive Experience In Virtual Realms at the Currents New Media, Santa Fe, NM.

Is there a painting of mine living in your life right now?
Maybe you have never bought a piece but have followed my journey anyway.
Maybe you found me years ago. Maybe we met in a studio, a classroom, a quiet gallery moment.

I see you. And I am so grateful you are here.

Something significant is happening — and you are part of it. If you own one of my works, I want you in my permanent archive. Read my full letter and reach out to me here: https://mailchi.mp/firestoneart.com/firestoneprovenance

Most art today is built for speed. Fast scroll. Fast sale. Fast forget.

For twenty years, I have built bodies of work meant to slow the room.
To hold the wall.
To outlive the trend.

My collectors do not buy decor.
They acquire legacy.
Work that shifts the temperature of a space and deepens in meaning over time.

Imagine entering a room and the air changes.
The sky expands.
The conversation softens.
The work remains.

Collectors are exhausted by noise.
Endless art fairs. Endless sameness. Endless volume.

I do not produce for volume.
I build bodies of work slowly.
In series.
With intellectual continuity.

Serious collections are built on coherence.
On artists who evolve without abandoning their core inquiry.

A wall that reaches to you.
A sky that expands at twilight.
A room that feels owned, not staged.

Legacy collectors recognize one another.
And we artists who serve you, are recognized.

By Friday, the world feels transactional.
Numbers. Deals. Performance.

Art interrupts transaction.
It restores reflection.
It invites stillness back into rooms built for negotiation.

For two decades, I have painted skies not as landscape, but as psychological architecture.

The most powerful collections are not assembled for status.
They are built for interior expansion.

Imagine:
You step into your room after a long week.
The sky on the wall opens.
Your Breath returns.
The within conversation shifts from,
"What did I build for Others this week,"
To:
"What am I creating for Myself and my Loved Ones?"

Serious collections understand this shift.
YOU understand this shift.

A home can feel curated… and still empty.

Original art shifts energy.
It welcomes you home like a lover.

I place work intentionally.
Each piece is meant to live with you — not just hang near you.

Yesterday’s skies
drying in mauve curls
on my studio table.

I don’t throw away sunsets.

I keep the skins.
The chips.
The ghosts of old horizons.

Every brush still warm
from touching light.

Color doesn’t die.
It flirts.
It waits.

Soon, these fragments
will slip into a new canvas—
past and future
pressed together
like lovers.

La dolce vita is not a fantasy. It is a practice.
Florence. A grand cru. Golden hour light doing exactly what golden hour light does in Italy, which is make everything feel like a painting you are living inside of.
I came to see the Rothko and Frangelico pairings, an intimate experience curated by my dear friend Christopher Rothko and his beautiful wife Lori. What they created was extraordinary. Color as sensation. Art as something you taste.
Now I am sitting with it. In this light. Savoring. Already dreaming of a residency in Umbria, of returning to study what the Italian sun does in that last hour before it disappears.
This is also the work. The looking. The living. The filling up before the pouring out.
I'll be back, Italy. Count on it. 🥂✨
