Brave Gowns Brave Gowns Have Changed the Game in Hospital Wear & Patient Care! We are proudly made in the USA We couldn't do it without your support and purchases. Thank you!

Since 2015, over 850,000 Brave Gowns & have been worn by patients in Children's Hospitals worldwide. Since 2015, over 450,000 and have been worn by patients in Children's Hospitals worldwide. Brave Gowns have been featured on Fox News, NBC, ABC, CBS, Huffington Post, The Talk, The Doctors and numerous other media outlets. During the pandemic, we've put over 300,000 masks on healthcare workers, ess

ential workers, bio tech labs, police officers, firefighters, inmates and homeless shelters. We were also able to gift over $25,000 to families with a child going through medical treatment. We are and always have been made in the USA. What is a Brave Gown? A Brave Gown is a gown that a child will wear when going through a treatment that scares them, a horrible shot, a spinal tap, an MRI, an x-ray, a long hospital stay or just a moment that they need to feel BRAVE! One of the biggest reasons kids love superheroes is the sense of control and power they have on the world. For superheroes, anything is possible. We want children in the hospital fighting even the toughest disease, to put forth their best fight and conquer what battle they're fighting. Whether a child's favorite superhero is Batman, Superman or Cinderella while wearing a "Brave Gown" they will believe that can take on any illness! Children have very limited control in their daily lives and especially when going through treatment for an illness. Becoming a superhero will allow them to access some sense of power during this scary time. What inspired me to make Brave Gowns? More than 3 million children are hospitalized in the United States. Every 33 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer and that's just one reason that children are admitted to the hospital. Twelve years ago on Halloween, my family became one of those statistics. Little did we know we were about to be faced with the fight of our lives. My brother, my only sibling, was only 10 years-old. I was 15 years-old older than him. We went from an office visit directly to the fight of our lives that ended up with us spending over a year in the hospital. I wish my story had a happy ending and I can tell you that my brother lived, but he is in heaven. He fought a battle that they said was impossible, but he beat it. In the end, he went to heaven due to a medical error. My favorite memory of our journey was the following year once again on Halloween. My brother was in the PICU (Pediactric Intensive Care Unit) and couldn't go Trick or Treating. He was laying there in a dingy pale yellow hospital gown that looked like it had been washed hundreds of times. There was nothing festive about it. It did not represent his personality or the holiday that he so loved! So I painted his face like a zombie. We were laughing so hard while I was painting it. Life felt a bit "normal" during this horrible time, but then we got in so much trouble! His skin practically peeled off, but all I could see behind it was his smile! He was so happy. Around Halloween of this year, I saw a picture of my friend's daughter that is now going through treatment and she was posing in her gown with a caption that read, "Maya trying to rock her blah hospital gown before her spinal tap!" That's when the idea of Brave Gowns hit me. Hospital gowns make you feel like just a number. They do not reflect these children's personalities. They do not bring hope!

I waited and waited for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this year. I was ready to give it everything I had.

We have an incredible matching donor willing to match up to 2,000 Brave Gowns as we head toward Brave Gowns’ 10-year anniversary and Halloween, the day my brother was diagnosed with cancer.

I’m less than 40,000 Brave Gowns to raising a million, which seems like it could really happen.
I had plans. I had posts ready in my head. I thought I would hit September running.

And then September came, and I just froze.
It was like all the wind had been taken out of me.
For ten years, Brave Gowns has brought some of the most incredible children and families into my life. And as I started looking through their pictures, trying to figure out what I wanted to share this month, I saw too many real moments. Too many hospital rooms. Too many treatments. Too many little faces I love who are no longer here.

And I realized again that childhood cancer isn’t really a month.
For these families, it’s every second. It’s the fear, the waiting, the hoping, the scans, the treatments and the worry that doesn’t disappear when September ends.

And for the families who have lost a child, it’s learning how to live while a piece of your heart is physically missing from this world.

We’ve talked over the years about the “gift of cancer.” About how it teaches you to love harder, live more fully and appreciate every single second. And I believe that. Cancer changed the way I love and the way I live.

But the truth is, the world would be so much better if no family ever had to receive that “gift.” If no parent had to learn those lessons this way.

These are the faces of just a few of the children in heaven who are forever embedded in my heart over the last ten years. They have taught me to love harder, do better and give more.
May I see their faces constantly to find the wind to keep going and hit all these incredible milestones. I’d love any help if anyone wants to keep making a change with us! 💛

Over a year ago, we announced what we believed would be Addi’s final Brave Gown Mission. I had received a bittersweet message from our sweet friend Summer, the incredible founder of Brave Gowns, letting us know that Brave Gowns was preparing to send out their final gown donations and end Brave Gowns.
When I told Addi, she was heartbroken. Brave Gowns has been such a special part of her journey and a mission she has believed in with her whole heart. But in true Addi fashion, she wanted to finish strong and help as many kids as she possibly could. But God had other plans.
By the grace of God, Brave Gowns is still here. Summer has continued fighting with everything she has to keep Brave Gowns going and to put Brave Gowns on children in hospitals for as long as she possibly can. So when Summer recently reached out and asked if Addi would want to do another mission for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, my heart immediately said yes. But I’ll admit, I hesitated.
I have always tried to be completely honest and forthcoming with all of you, and we had told you that the last mission was our final one. Then I talked to Addi.
I thought about everything this little girl and all of YOU have accomplished through her Brave Gown Missions. I thought about the thousands of children who have received gowns because of this community. I thought about the gowns we have hand-delivered up and down the East Coast and the thousands more that have been shipped to children in hospitals across the country.
And most of all, I thought about the messages we have received from families telling us how much these gowns matter. How they ease fear. Bring comfort. Give a child something to smile about on a really hard day. And remind kids that even in a hospital, they still get to be kids. How could we not do it again?
So here we are....
Addi’s 6th Brave Gown Mission for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
For the past five years, you have shown up for Addi and helped her turn something so personal into something that has brought joy, comfort, hope, and bravery to thousands of other children. We are asking you to show up with us once again. One gown can change a child’s hospital day.
One share can help us reach another child.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to believe in Addi, in Brave Gowns, and in the power of doing something kind for someone else.
We truly could not do this without you. We are excited to donate more Brave Gowns during Childhood Cancer Awareness month to children all over the US!

Brave Gideon has stage four cancer. He was scheduled to go into surgery at his primary children's hospital, but his doctor had his own medical scare. His family then flew out of state to another children's hospital to meet with a specialist. It was exactly where he was meant to be. He brought four different Brave Gowns. He picked the police officer gown to feel brave. We are praying so hard for his family and Gideon as Gideon exubated himself in the night!

Brave Gowns' real impact...
They help kids feel Brave.

What the hospitals see: Better access to medical care with an improved medical gown.

What families see: Hope. A little glimpse of normalcy during a really hard moment.

What people think Brave Gowns are: A cute hospital gowns. A shirt. A fun design. Something we sew in our basements.

What they really are: A premium hospital gowns that allow kids to be kids-even in the hospital!

Childhood shouldn't stop at the hospital doors.❤️

We are honored that Harper’s mom shared her story with us to help get more Brave Gowns sponsored for children on our waitlist.

This is the message we received from Harper’s mom:

“It’s adorable. Harper only got to wear her Brave Gown once before passing away after a two year battle with cancer. Thank you for all you do to make children like Harper more comfortable as they face challenges no children should face.”

Please send extra love Harper’s families way. 💛

Meet Precious Delaney! This is why we do what we do, and why we continue to ask for your help!

At five years old, Delaney was diagnosed with a brain tumor categorized as a Progressive Optic Nerve Glioma in January of 2025. Throughout all of her scans she was stable, until January of 2026. The tumor had grown and was affecting her pituitary gland and her hormones and growing further back into her chiasm (X portion) of her brain. Interfering with her speech signals. She had her portacath inserted and Chemo started March. She is currently about to start cycle 2 of 8 cycles. End of treatment is estimated June of 2027.

The donation of the Brave gown has given her independence to her port access during her MRIs. She loves to put her special unicorn gown on to show everyone her “bright rainbows” and prove she is truly brave. And she is. She gets her port accessed with no tears, she puts her own anesthesia mask on, and says goodnight before the gasses put her to sleep for her scans.

I am in awe of her everyday. And truly.. no one who is not in this circumstance would understand, how just changing a personal choice of a hospital gown would give a 5yo a sense of independence and pride during this process. She gets power over choosing this gown. She gets power unbuttoning it to allow the nurse to access her port. She is in control of her body and is proud to show everyone that she loves her rainbows and she is an individual with her own personal gown! 🦄❤️

I have spent the weekend making sure my little, old fourteen-year-old dog was comfortable. We knew that she probably wouldn’t make it through the year, but on Friday night, her hind legs gave out. So, I’ve made sure she was comfortable and loved all weekend to get us to Monday. I’ve never had to put an animal to sleep, nor do I want this responsibility. I don’t take the soul lightly, and she loves our little family unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

We recused her as a puppy from South Central LA. She was in the shelter with so many big, barking dogs. She was so scared, that she was kept with the cats. I was adamant that I did not want this “Catdog.” I even ran to the car while she was getting cleaned up, hoping my husband would change his mind. He did not. We brought home a sweet, little anxiety ridden dog that never would outgrow that trait.

Lo and behold…she became my dog. She is never an inch away from me. I don’t even realize it anymore, because she doesn’t need attention. She just sleeps a lot. Yesterday my daughter asked to find a picture of her and Blue.

In that moment, I came across fourteen years of memories. I forgot that it was Blue that sat next to me as worried mom raising two teens in Los Angeles. That yelped when they got home at night safely, feeling my relief. I forgot it was Blue that sat in our front porch while I built Brave Gowns. It was Blue that sat on the prototypes as I went through them one by one. It was Blue that I looked at in disbelief when we realized I created the first 200 gowns with the chest port access on the wrong side. It was Blue that would walk to the post office with me to ship gowns one by one, until I had a factory with the kindest shipping team. I forgot it was Blue that I would cry to at night, during the moments Brave Gowns became business, which was everything it didn’t stand for.

I’m so used to having her around, that I forgot this little, crotchety old dog was what my heart needed for fourteen years to help my heart, raise my kids, build a company, become emptinesters, and then to have the kids close by. I never realized that Blue has always been Brave Gowns mascot. Thank you, Blue. You gave us all you had.💙

Imagine typing "Brave Gowns" into a search bar and stumbling across this beautiful video of Selah walking the hospital halls after open heart surgery.

Moments like this remind us why we keep going.

There are days when the fundraising feels heavy and the advocacy feels endless as we fight to make Brave Gowns the standard-issue gown in children's hospitals everywhere.

But we will never grow tired of fighting for the bravest kids who make the hardest days look easy.
Selah, thank you for reminding us what courage looks like. You are exactly why we believe every child deserves to feel brave, seen, and like a kid, even in the middle of the hardest journey. ❤️🙌

We are so happy to read that Madison’s MRI is clear. 🙌💛

Over the years, we’ve loved seeing Madison grown and in different Brave Gowns through so many scans and hospital stays. Moments like this remind us why we work so hard to put kids in Brave Gowns.

We are so blessed to be even a small part of so many big moments for families. We never take that trust lightly and are endlessly grateful for the support, kindness, and love families continue to show us through every stage of their journey.

Celebrating with your family today, Madison.📣🙌
