People see the trees coming down, the cranes in the air, and the finished job. But they don’t always see what it takes to get there.
They don’t see the 7 days a week, 14–15 hour days. The endless planning, the logistics, the equipment, the long drives, and the countless decisions that have to be made before the work even begins.
They don’t see the time away from our families, the nights sleeping in campers, the meals that sometimes consist of nothing more than crackers and PB&Js if you are lucky enough to eat, or the exhaustion that comes with pushing through another long day because people are counting on you.
But somewhere in the middle of all the long days and sleepless nights, something special happens. We meet incredible people, face challenges that push us than what we thought we could handle, and makes us stronger, wiser, and better at what we do.
At the end of the day, it’s about more than the trees we remove. It’s about the people we help, the trust we earn, the team beside us, and the difference we make when people need us most.
The work is hard. The sacrifices are real. But the people we meet and the experiences we gain make it all worth it.
