Anticipating a dry spell? Protect newly planted, young, or sensitive plants by watering them ahead of time, either the night before or early morning.

Smart watering is crucial, but smart planting is equally important. Choose water-efficient plants that also produce flowers for a beautiful and sustainable garden!

We just gave this Ballard home's entry path a major glow-up! Why settle for a narrow walkway when you can have a spacious, inviting entrance filled with Irish moss. This yard is open exposure in the winter, but very shady in the summer. Planting in shady spots? Bring. It. On. We're like the special forces of gardening - we can make anything thrive (even in the dark corners of your yard) 😉

Currants come in many colors! 💛 🩷 🧡 🤍

The Ribes family are known for their tart fruits that are best used in jams or syrups. They’re also great additions to a natural hedge or sunny spot in your yard.

We personally love the native Ribes sanguineum - Red Flowering Currant, but sometimes they can vary in color. This early spring bloom is always a welcoming sight for pollinators and humans.
