The sunset colored blooms of the Exbury Azaleas have arrived early this season🌺

These sun-loving, deciduous perennials are a part of rhododendron genus. In the late spring and early summer they offer vibrant displays of crimson, peachy pink, and amber blooms. Come by Botaníca to enjoy these beautiful flowers and find one to add to your garden.

We are hosting a Community Gardeners Exchange on March 21st, from 10am to 4pm!

A day to bring and swap gardening supplies to start off the Spring Season. This event was inspired by a desire to repurpose materials we have in abundance at Botaníca and provide an opportunity for other community members to do the same. Examples of items to exchange are: gloves, seeds, recent harvests, plants, hand tools, etc. For more information check out our website or contact us here on Instagram/facebook or email!

It’s Camellia Season🌸 at the garden!

One of our most striking varieties blooming now are Camellia reticulata ‘Lasca Beauty’. These camellias are grown from seed, making each plant genetically unique with blooms in a variety of shades, shapes, and sizes. The colors range from deep magenta to light pink in single, semi-double, and rose-double forms.

Botaníca is happy to announce we’ve been working on growing over 13,000 California native plants for a river restoration project in Fremont.

This project is being led by the Alameda County Flood Control & Water Conservation District with the intention of reducing flood risk to protect the surrounding community and restore the wetland ecosystem.
