Need non-ferrous? No problem.

Above each patient room doorway at Penn First Pavilion, a cove needed a fixture that didn’t exist yet.

The space sat close enough to an MRI that any ferrous metal became a hazard. So Vode built a one-of-a-kind, non-ferrous mounting solution from the ground up, engineered to satisfy MRI-room standards without compromise.

The idea started with BoxRail | 907. One year of concept and application drawings later, it became something entirely new.

Even the smallest parts got reinvented. Standard metal mounting clips became custom molded ones, inspired by the clips holding a car bumper in place. Aluminum screws replaced steel. Every detail accounted for the room it was going into.

Elsewhere in the project, the same non-ferrous logic carried through: a custom ZipTwo | Round 3515, and standard ZipWave | 707.

Purpose-built where it counted most.

Vodarian Spotlight: Gianni Landaverde

Just over 2 years in. Already one of the most trusted voices customers talk to.

Client Relations Manager since day one, and it shows: sharp, hardworking, reliable, with a sense of humor that makes every conversation easy.

Fun fact: outside of Vode, Gianni is a traditional 2D artist, drawing realistic portraits in graphite, charcoal, and fine point pen. Swipe to slide 3 to see one of his drawings featured in the Vode office 🔥

His favorite fixture? ZipThree | Wall Mount | 707. “I love its unique design and numerous options for applications,” Gianni says. A floating line of light, slim and versatile enough to wash a ceiling, graze a wall, or do both at once, with the flexibility to fit almost any application.

Mass timber construction changes the rules.

No remote drivers. No wall-mounted sensors.
So ZipThree | 707 had to do it all. We integrated a 707-Z3 driver directly into the fixture, while an embedded wireless nLight® AIR occupancy sensor delivers seamless control for emergency lighting applications in compliance with Title 24.

One fixture. Fewer constraints. The architecture stays clean.
