Dear Friends,
We wanted to share an important update regarding our peony season.
Earlier this spring, we announced that our Pick-Your-Own Peony experience would be delayed until June 14 due to freeze damage from several May cold snaps. Unfortunately, since then, additional weather challenges have further impacted the field.
The combination of late freezes, periods of intense heat, and most recently heavy rain and thunderstorms has significantly reduced both the quality and quantity of blooms available this season. While there are still peonies blooming throughout the field, we simply do not have enough flowers to responsibly offer a U-Pick experience this year.
As a result, we will not be opening the field for Pick-Your-Own peonies on June 14, and U-Pick will not be available at any point during the 2026 season.
This is certainly disappointing news for us, and we know many of you were looking forward to visiting and harvesting your own bouquets. Peonies are a once-a-year crop, and unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans this season.
The good news is that the farm remains open for visitors. You are still welcome to stroll through the peony fields, enjoy the scenery, take photos, and experience the beauty that remains. We also still have several potted peonies for you to purchase and take home with you.
While the display is not quite the spectacular show we are accustomed to this time of year, there are still blooms to enjoy and peaceful moments to be found throughout the farm.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding, support, and encouragement during a challenging growing season. Your visits, purchases, and kind words mean more to us than you know.
Thank you for being part of the Hidden Springs Peony Farm family, and we look forward to sharing a better bloom season with you next year.
With gratitude,
Laura & Bryan Kubes
