At Hidden Springs Peony Farm, each season tells a different story. After three absolutely beautiful peony seasons in a row, this year has reminded us just how much farming depends on the weather.

The single fern peony was this year’s first peony to bloom! Of all the folks that chose the right date in our Guess the first bloom giveaway, Garrett R. Was chosen as the winner of a $50 gift card.

We have a bloom!

Congratulations to Garrett R. who was chosen at random for everyone who guessed the correct day of May 7.

The single fern peony (p. Tenuifolia) bloomed today to claim the honor of this year’s first bloom.
