Thanks to the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to talk about some of the work we do in the area. Our Construction Administration Manager, Ladon Curran, actually lives in the Waynesville area, and it was great to be in his home territory.

Every year, Kris Evans invites me to the The Victim Center Breakfast of Hope, and every year, I leave more grateful than the last.

The Victim Center provides free, confidential support to survivors of crime and trauma in our community. This support includes crisis intervention, counseling, legal advocacy and support groups. They show up for people on some of the hardest days of their lives.

The need is real. Research shows that about 1 in 4 girls experience some form of sexual abuse before age 18, and roughly 34% of sexual assault victims under 18 are younger than 12 years old. It breaks my heart to know these numbers represent our neighbors, our kids, our community.

Being in that room each year is a powerful reminder of how strong survivors are, and how critical organizations like the Victim's Center truly are. I'm proud to support their work and grateful to be part of a community that shows up for each other.

Crystal Miller had a great time representing our team at the ribbon cutting for Holland Park! After watching this project grow from a vision on paper to a completed community, it was a treat to finally see that ribbon cut.

We’ve been sharing updates on this one for a while, from the "bones" of the structure to the final parking lot lights, and seeing it all come together is the best part of what we do. This project is a perfect example of how a collaborative team can turn a complex site into a beautiful place for people to call home.

A huge congratulations to the developers and everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. We’re honored to have played a part in Springfield's growth!

At the Springfield Contractors Association’s recent monthly meeting, several past SCA scholarship recipients shared their stories, and it was truly inspiring.

These scholarships aren’t just for construction majors. Design and engineering students are eligible too. Hearing firsthand how even a few hundred dollars can make a real difference in a student’s journey, and even shape their career path, was powerful.

A big thank you to SCA for investing in the next generation of professionals. Supporting students like these is a meaningful step toward solving Springfield’s workforce challenges.

CONGRATULATIONS Kim Butler Thomas on 24 YEARS at Ireland Architects!!! We are SO grateful for you and all you do to keep the company running smoothly!! There is so much you do behind the scenes that we don't even know about because you just "take care of things" - including US!!! I love to hear your distinct laugh in the office - it's so joyful!! It’s always a win for Springfield when a building gets a second life, especially in a spot with as much history as Midtown. We’ve been working closely with James and Lisa Tillman on the design for the newest area Huey Magoo’s at 731 N. Benton—right across from Central High and Drury University.

This one is a fun challenge for us. The building dates back to 1932 and is only about 1,250 square feet, which is roughly half the size of a typical location. Our job is to make every single inch count, redoing the entire interior from the plumbing and electric to the "grab and go" flow, all while keeping that classic exterior look the neighborhood knows.

We love these kinds of puzzles—figuring out how to fit a modern franchise into a historic shell while fitting into the neighborhood's character.

We recently stopped with two of our grandkids at the McDonald’s over I-44 near Vinita, Oklahoma—and I’m honestly not sure who was more excited to be there, them or me.

Growing up, stopping here was a huge deal. If you’ve ever been, you know the thrill of standing right over the highway, watching the traffic rush directly under your feet. Back then, you could actually feel the building vibrate every time a semi-truck roared past. My favorite part was standing at those massive windows, frantically doing the "arm pump" to see how many truckers we could get to honk at us.

Before it became a McDonald’s, it was the famous Glass House Restaurant built in the 60s. For a long time, it held the title of the largest McDonald's in the world.

It was a great reminder that as architects, we’re creating destinations. Buildings have a way of becoming part of our childhood memories and family stories.

Getting to share that bit of history (and a little bit of what I do for a living) with the grandkids was the highlight of the trip.

Our latest Springfield Executive Breakfast Club meeting took us behind the scenes at Mid-West Family Marketing - Springfield, MO. If you’ve ever tuned into The Cave 104.7, The Bull 105.1, Q92.9, or The Won 102.1, this is where the magic happens!

It was a great morning exploring their studios, but the real highlight for me was seeing their incredible collection of memorabilia. They have guitars signed by famous artists across almost every genre—I even got to hold one signed by Ted Nugent. For someone who appreciates the "craft" behind the art, it was an impressive sight to see!

A huge thank you to Brian Tyndall, General Manager of Mid-West Family Marketing, for hosting us and giving us a peek into the world of local broadcasting. It’s always a privilege to see the inner workings of the businesses that keep our Springfield community connected.
