Double hung windows are what we see more than any other window. Every house has them and like most windows, you donโ€™t think anything about them till they have an issue.

As a starting point, double hungs should feel tight when closed, open and shut smooth, It should stay where you put it, lock clean, and not let outside air in.

Where people usually have issues is in the details like cheap balance systems and weak seals. Even more likely it was a rushed install that lead to drafts, sticking, and windows that wonโ€™t stay up and because double hungs have more moving parts, thereโ€™s less room for error.

Thatโ€™s why the difference isnโ€™t always obvious on day one. It shows up a year or two later when the window still feels solidโ€ฆ or doesnโ€™t.

Our main focus on is making sure those problems never show up in the first place. The right product matters, but the way itโ€™s installed is what actually determines how it performs long term.

When itโ€™s installed right, hopefully you never have to see us again.
