Cute little moth on a sedum flower 🩷 This is a new variety for me this year called Night Embers. The flowers are shaped quite differently from my other sedum flowers and I really enjoyed putting them in arrangements yesterday (the second photo shows a comparison to my Autumn Fire sedum). Unfortunately I only have two plants, so I will be working on dividing them and propagating more for sure :)

9/2 - Dropped the kiddo off at school and getting ready to start making bouquets! The counter looks full but we had less zinnias and dahlias ready than expected - I should still be able to make a decent amount of jars though! None of the big dahlias were ready, so only small jars today. Check our stories to see when everything heads out, and remember if you see our sign in front of the porch, we have flowers! 1620 Longwood Drive, Sycamore

Gotta love a late summer sunrise 😊 The bugs were really singing this morning so I'm just leaving that audio instead of adding music. This view is of my dahlia seedling patch where lots of dahlias in started from seed are growing. Most dahlias from seed end up kind of wonky and ugly (seeds have super random genetics), but I've found a few nice ones in here that have been good enough to add to bouquets :) I'll save tubers from those so I can grow them again next year - growing from tubers is like growing a clone of the same plant.

Daisy is 2! And the 28th will mark 6 whole months with her sweetness :) We took her to all her favorite stores today and got her some fun snacks too :)

I just love these dwarf irises! Our old neighbor gave me like 6 of them from her garden when we moved into this house and they have spread so much in 6 years :D I've never seen that pretty periwinkle color anywhere else, and it looks so cute against the lamium that's creeping in front of it
