arden Shop and Event Rental Facility, We serve the Sycamore and Dekalb area, but frequently have people travelling to see us from Geneva, St. Charles, Western Suburbs, Chicago, and beyond! The beautiful gardens offer customers a wide selection of annual and perennial flowers not found at big box stores. Within the rustic brick interiors of the old Factory Shop you will find vintage and modern gifts, as well as indoor and outdoor home decor. The Blumen Gardens campus also boasts an on-site Plant Nursery from which it supplies the Landscape Construction and Maintenance Divisions and grows its own plants for the retail garden shop as well.

Huskie families, make Blumen Gardens part of your NIU Family Weekend NEXT WEEKEND! ❤️🐾

Fall Fest returns Saturday, September 12th + Sunday, September 13th, and we’re just a short drive from the NIU campus.

Kick off the weekend with us Saturday from 11AM to 2PM for fall shopping, pumpkins, mums, live music by Carson Hall, Wild Carrot Food Truck, cocktails from the Blumen Bar, The Soda Stand, and local vendors throughout Blumen Gardens.

Whether you’re visiting your Huskie, showing family around DeKalb County, or simply looking for something fun to do before the game, come spend part of your Saturday with us.

Real Bittersweet vs. Faux Bittersweet

Real bittersweet is beautiful and has an unmistakably natural quality, but it is extremely fragile.

Once dried, the berries and outer casings can fall away easily when the branches are handled or exposed to the elements.

Faux bittersweet can be a practical alternative when you want that distinctive fall color and movement in a design that will be handled or displayed for an extended period.

We use both natural and faux materials when appropriate.

The goal isn’t to add something simply because it says “fall.” Every piece should contribute color, texture, height, or movement to the overall design.
