When we designed this home, the goal was simple: keep it practical but add a few wow factors.

The living room is anchored by a floor to ceiling stone fireplace with a large mantle that really sets the tone for the space.

In the kitchen, one minor change made a big difference. The window above the sink was originally planned at about half the size. Our team pushed to open it up and bring in more natural light — and it paid off.

And that’s just what you can see.

Behind the scenes there are details that make the home more enjoyable to live in: lights on dimmers throughout and soft-close hinges and drawers in all the cabinetry.

It’s not pretty work, but it’s honest work.

Not every critical part of a home build is meant to be seen.

This safe room is built with 6-inch thick concrete walls, a welded steel frame, and a heavy-duty steel door designed to handle the kind of storms Oklahoma is known for.

With how unpredictable our weather can be, this was an easy decision.

It may not be the flashiest part of the house, but it’s one of the most important.

At Bird’s Eye View, we believe homes should do two things well:

1. Protect the people inside.
2. Provide peace of mind.

Finally… the big reveal!!

This project was a major team win for Bird’s Eye View.

A little over 4 months ago, Cory and Kaleb sat down and asked a simple yet loaded question: what would it take to build a home from the ground up and do it right?

We decided to find out.

What this project proved more than anything is that we can handle complexity at scale.
