This home renovation was guided by the clients’ love of bright, bold colors.

By opening up the existing kitchen walls, the design created a more functional open-concept layout centered around a new island. The updated space improves flow, natural light, storage, and everyday usability while connecting more naturally to the surrounding living areas.

Designed to belong to its Arlington neighborhood, this custom home reinterprets the character of surrounding craftsman and colonial architecture through a more refined, contemporary lens.

Traditional proportions ground the design in its setting, while large windows, a bold black-and-white exterior, and warm wood accents give it a fresh presence on its corner lot.

Inside, open living spaces, a rear kitchen, front home office, walk-in pantry, mudroom, bedroom suites, and flexible family areas create a home designed for comfort, flow, and everyday living. Every decision was guided by a simple idea: creating a home that feels timeless, and personal.

This primary suite was designed as a seamless blend of calm, function, and warmth. The bedroom’s slat accent wall adds depth and rhythm, creating a quiet focal point, while the walk-out balcony stretches the entire length of the space — bringing in light and extending the room beyond its walls.
