GARLIC IS SOLD OUT!!! But we still have lots of mums for sale at the stand.
Anyone interested in hardneck garlic? 🧄 I have about 40 extra bulbs available for $1 each.
I’m not sure of the variety, but it can be used for cooking (obviously 😉) or planted in the fall. I usually plant mine by the end of September or beginning of October.
I can put some out at the stand if anyone is interested. Just message me and let me know!

UPDATE 8/27-there are still some coneflowers left out at the stand and lots of mums..
We just put out more colorful coneflowers. These are perennial in large pots for $8ea. We also have lots of colorful mums from 3” pots to large 9” pots. Stop on out. 18288 Rowell Rd Wellington, Ohio. Open daily from 8am-7pm.

It’s been 5 weeks today since Stevie’s mishap. He is healing nicely, but he still has a limp. He’s not quite ready to be out totally on his own yet, but he did get to venture out for a little while today and smell the flowers. 🌸
We kept a close eye on him so he wouldn’t wander off, which he was definitely wanting to do! 😂🐾

**SIP & SHOP?? 🍷🌿**

Trying to gauge interest! Yesterday was the wine judging at the Lorain County Fair, and as most of you know, we are home winemakers and make wine from fruit grown right here on our property. 🍇🍓

6 of our 8 wines took first place** in their respective categories! 🏆🍷the other 2 took 2nd place.

So, we were thinking about doing a little **Sip & Shop today**. Last year we put the wines out and had very little interest, so we’re just trying to see if anyone would be interested. If you stop by and would like to sample some, just ask! They’re chilling in the fridge for now. 😊

We were thinking **11 AM–2 PM**… or maybe later? Let us know if you’d be interested!

How to Water Mums & Keep Your Container Mums Looking Good All Season 🌸**

One of the most important things when growing mums in containers is making sure they are getting enough water. *Be sure to water underneath the leaves—not over the top.** Aim your hose just under the bottom of the leaves. If necessary, gently hold the branches back so the water can reach the soil. 💦

*Never water over the top of the plant. Watering directly over the blooms can cause the flowers to deteriorate, while keeping the leaves wet can encourage fungus and other problems.

During hot weather, mums need to be watered daily—and sometimes twice a day. Check your pots regularly. If the pot feels heavy, there is still plenty of moisture in the soil.

There is a fine line between **underwatering and overwatering**, so checking the weight of the pot is a great way to tell how much moisture is available.

One more tip: **Always check your pots after it rains!** Never assume the rain provided enough water. The foliage can get wet while the soil inside the container remains surprisingly dry.
