A full master bathroom transformation we just wrapped in Chester Springs, PA — and yes, we're aware of the towels. 😅
THE BEFORE 👎
Dark green marbled tile floor-to-ceiling. Brass-framed pebbled glass shower. Drop-in tub on a tile deck. Polished brass fixtures. Cherry vanity with a cultured marble top. Very 1998.
THE AFTER 👇
Full gut and rebuild from the studs out:
🛁 Sculpted freestanding soaking tub with floor-mounted tub filler and handheld wand
🪨 Floor-to-ceiling marble-look porcelain tile with dramatic veining
🚿 Frameless glass walk-in shower with built-in niches, rainhead, and a fully waterproofed shower pan
🪵 Wood-look porcelain plank flooring — warm, soft, and a complete 180 from the dark stone before
🪞 New custom dual vanity with quartz countertops and a full-height linen tower
🔥 Vaulted ceiling and arched window preserved to keep the architectural character intact

The peach walls, the purple rugs, the burgundy towels, the matching towel-on-every-bar styling? Not us. Our scope ends at the wall tile. The homeowner loves purple, and we love the homeowner, so purple it is.

Homeowner: "Hey, can you take out the 22-foot load-bearing wall down the center of my house and make sure it doesn't collapse?"
CWC: "Sure thing. No problem." 😅
A structural renovation we tackled on a Chester County, PA home — removing a 22-foot main load-bearing wall running the entire length of the first floor and replacing it with a single steel beam to open the house up into one continuous space.
Here's what that actually takes:
🏗️ Structural engineer drawings to size the beam, calculate point loads, and design the bearing pockets at each end
🪵 Temporary shoring walls built on BOTH sides of the existing wall to carry the second floor while the original wall came out
⚙️ A 22-foot, 2,000+ lb steel beam delivered, staged on the front lawn, and flagged for the install
👷 Sandwich-bolted on both sides on the lawn before the lift so it could integrate into the new framing
🔨 Beam set into engineered bearing pockets and tied into new column supports at each end
🪚 Floor system re-supported, joists rehung where needed, and the temporary shoring removed only after the beam was fully carrying the load
What used to be a closed-off, chopped-up first floor became one wide, open, modern living space — without the second floor going anywhere it wasn't supposed to. 😉
This is the part of remodeling most homeowners never see. The pretty pictures get the likes, but THIS is where 25+ years of construction experience actually matters — knowing what the wall is doing, what has to happen before you touch it, and how to land a 2,000+ pound piece of steel exactly where the engineer drew it.

Proof that a powder room doesn't have to be an afterthought. 🎨
A small but seriously dialed-in powder room remodel we just finished in Downingtown, PA — built around one statement wall and a few really intentional choices.
A few of our favorite details:
📐 Custom geometric wainscoting — every piece of trim cut, mitered, and installed on site to create that hand-built diamond and box pattern from floor to ceiling
🎨 Deep moody teal paint on the feature wall, sprayed for a furniture-grade finish that lets the trim work do the talking
🪵 Custom open-base wooden vanity with a poured concrete countertop and integrated trough sink — modern, industrial, and warm all at once

When a homeowner says "I want a real wine room — not a closet with a rack in it" — this is where we go. 🍷
A custom wine cellar we built into a Downingtown, PA basement, designed from the ground up around the homeowner's collection.
A few of the details we're most proud of:
🧱 Reclaimed brick flooring laid in a tight herringbone pattern — every brick hand-cut and fit
🍷 Custom wood wine racking, including individual bottle storage, display rows, and a diamond bin for magnums and bulk storage
🪟 A custom slatted wood entry surround that doubles as a tasting nook
🛠️ Restored antique oak hoosier cabinet integrated into the back wall as a functional serving station
🎨 Moody dark walls and warm lighting to set the mood the second you walk in
