Banquet seats.

Probably one of the top trending designs we have seen and there’s an intrinsic value here. Not only do you ultimately bring the design aesthetic out, but you also choose luxury over boring.

In this video here you see me trying to sit and simulate how it should be. Granted I’m over 6ft tall, my clients husband is about my height. So I’m not only trying to build comfort and style, I’m building longevity because granted they stay in this house another 10-15 years, they can age in place safely.

Progress on the foyer entrance:

1. Arches and opening up the stair walls relay luxury and elegance. Add that to your design toolbelt if you don’t have one

2. Our 2in lights from are installed and drywalled into the ceiling. These lights are special because they are trim less so you have to mud over the plate to make them look hidden and completely recessed

OPENING A LOAD-BEARING WALL 👷🏾‍♂️🏡

“Can we just remove this wall?”

Short answer: Yes.
Real answer: Not without holding your house up first.

Think of your home like a big box made of blocks.
Some walls just divide rooms.
Some walls HOLD the roof and second floor.

A load-bearing wall is one of the strong ones.

When we open up a kitchen to the living room, we’re not just doing demo. We’re doing structural surgery.

Here’s the simple version of what actually happens:

1️⃣ We confirm the wall is carrying weight
2️⃣ We bring in an engineer to size the beam
3️⃣ We build temporary walls to hold the house up
4️⃣ We remove the existing wall
5️⃣ We install a structural beam (LVL or steel)
6️⃣ We transfer the weight safely down to the foundation

We’re not removing support.
We’re relocating it.

The Benefits:

✔️ Clear sight lines

• Basement posts may need added
