I think I found the art for this wall…and I need you to talk me into or out of it. 😂🌴
The has always been one of my favorite Miami hotels, and when I found this archival photo of the lobby staircase, it genuinely made me feel something. It’s not just a pretty Miami photo to me.
The whole vision for this nook is to make you feel like you’ve stepped into a private dining room inside a Miami hotel, and I love the idea that this giant photograph could almost feel like a window directly into the Fontainebleau.
I’m picturing it oversized, beautifully printed and framed, maybe even with a little selective tinting on the staircase in pale mint or pink. 👀
So what do we think?
Do I commit to the Fontainebleau print, or hold out for an original piece of vintage ’80s art? And if you have another idea for this wall, I want to hear it.
Also putting out feelers for the right large-format printing + framing partner to bring this one to life at around 5 feet wide. 👀
