Progress Over Perfection:
Don't ever compare your "Stage 1" remodel to someone else's "Stage 10".

When we first moved into our house in 2018, our kitchen was my least favorite room in the house. I posted about our $100 "remodel" which was simply painting our cabinets. That post went viral, and ended up featured in magazines.

As exciting as that was, I remember being embarrassed at the time, because I didn't want anyone to think that's where it ended. We had bigger plans for our kitchen, and while this remodel is no longer $100, we are proud of the progress we've made, one little investment at a time.

Come and see what $100 can do --> https://www.snazzylittlethings.com/budget-kitchen-remodel-cabinet-paint/

If you only have a $100 to spend, just start! Every tiny step you take will help you love your space jsut a little bit more.

I finally have a chance to slow down and decorate so I’m sharing a few little touches in the dining room. A few spools of ribbon go a long way! I always think it’s helpful to see “before” pictures — so I added a listing photo to see what space we started with. I’ll be adding several more pictures since we’re finally getting caught up with decorating and life in general.

Hoping to be more present here on Instagram in 2026 with some updates and new projects in the works.

Displaying a few items I snagged today from holiday market in . Loved seeing some familiar faces as we shopped. We were vendors once, back in the day.

In 2017 we met the owners, Kirsten + Andres, as we set our first vendor booth during their inaugural vintage market in Columbus. Today I enjoyed getting a jump start decorating for Christmas. Loved what we picked up from and so many other vendors.

Vintage mixed with new is still my thing. Signs at Christmas - also yes.

I’ll tag all that I know here since we definitely support small business whenever we can.

Once again I visited which is happening all weekend - my favorite place to source beautiful, vintage home decor. Today I found these lovely art accents and already integrated them into our newly updated butler pantry and accent shelving. Love the size, too. Just enough to stay on trend without overwhelming the space.

In fact most of the vintage items you’ll see in my here are thanks to and .

I was hoping to be completely finished before I shared our kitchen island before & after, but here is a quick glimpse. We still plan to edit a few decisions that we made in haste (drawer hardware is an easy fix) and we are adding legs to the base island cabinets.

We are still loving our new floors by and after lots of research we have zero regrets buying and assembling our island cabinets by

One day I’ll share the “oops” moments but for now, we are enjoying the victory of a full kitchen island upgrade. 🎉

My daughter’s 2nd annual pink birthday cake tradition. It’s been a year since I made the last cake using Russian piping tips I bought from a kit on Amazon. Only 99 more left to try. 🎂

These are so fun! Link to the kit I used is in my profile.
