An attempted break-in and damage to property were reported in Fairleads after two cement pillars were removed and a strand of electric fencing was cut along the rear perimeter.

A full check of the premises found no indication that entry had been gained. No theft was reported, and arrangements were made for the damaged perimeter security to be repaired.

A hijacked truck was recovered at a truck stop in Rustivia after information indicated that the vehicle was located on the premises.

The truck was subsequently found inside the property. It had been damaged internally, its rear number plate had been removed, and the keys were missing. The trailer had not been recovered and remained outstanding at the time of the report.

An armed robbery was reported at a business premises in Jet Park after multiple heavily armed suspects reportedly entered while staff were arriving for work.

Staff were held together while cellphones, laptops and copper were taken. A staff member was also reportedly forced to transfer money to an unknown account. No physical injuries were reported, although those involved were left distressed by the incident. Authorities attended the scene.

A theft and recovery incident was reported in Lakefield after two suspects were seen on a premises and a large steel step ladder was found to have been removed from the property.

The internal electrical connections appeared to remain intact, and no theft or further damage was reported at the time. The matter was reported to the relevant municipal service.
