📍 Okavango Road, Brackenfell
At 02:31 this morning, Titanium Crime Prevention Unit received information that a male, believed to be in his 40s, intended to take his own life by jumping from the Okavango Bridge.
Without hesitation, three Titanium Crime Prevention Unit vehicles responded to the scene. Upon arrival, concerned members of the public had managed to persuade the individual to sit down safely while assistance was on the way.
The Titanium Crime Prevention Officers spent time speaking with the individual, offering support, compassion, and reassurance. Following a heartfelt conversation lasting approximately 30 minutes, the individual felt safe enough to return home and committed to seeking further assistance through clinics and support services provided by the Titanium Crime Prevention Unit Officers.
We would also like to acknowledge the members of the public who intervened and stayed with the individual until help arrived. Your actions made a difference!
