Just finished a CCTV install for a restaurant and pub with off-site viewing on laptop and Smartphone. Took some time getting it linked due to router issues but the owners are chuffed. Now they can monitor their business when they are not there as in at home or traveling. Pretty cool Folks.

Hi Folks. If you have a retail business remember that the Consumer Protection Act can impact on your business. If you have a camera and a mic over your till point, you can record audio and video of all transactions. So if there is a dispute with a customer, you can go back and show what actually transpired. Eg. a customer comes back to claim that you did not sell him/her the correct product, you can prove that you supplied according to their request. I can install and set this up for you. Off site viewing on PC or Smartphone included.

Hi Folks. If you are considering a CCTV system for your home or business, there are 3 main product technologies to review namely: analog, AHD and IP. Analog is the older tech and is sufficient for most applications but the picture is not sharp. Picture clarity rated in TV Lines - eg.700TVL. AHD is an adaptation of analog, a bit more expensive but gives great clarity for the cost. This would really be the one to consider as it gives the best of both worlds. Picture clarity measured in Pixels eg. 1080p. For best clarity look at the IP camera range. The picture is digital and is sharp. Measured in Mega Pixels normally starting at 1.3 MP. All 3 technologies can be viewed over the internet using a suitable DVR/NVR and there are various apps available for smartphones for off site viewing as well.
