LIGHT & SHADOW

Before we understand architecture, we experience light.

It slips through openings, grazes materials, stretches across floors and quietly transforms the spaces we inhabit.

Throughout the day, architecture is rewritten by the movement of the sun. Shadows lengthen, textures emerge, surfaces soften, and familiar spaces become something entirely new.

From empty site to award-winning workplace.

Siyamphambili Offices explores the idea of a simple stereotomic block carved to create entrances, courtyards and communal spaces. Large glazed openings bring natural light deep into the building, while a central courtyard connects the workplace to the surrounding landscape.
