Bringing the architectural journey of 30 Park Drive to its culmination, 2018 marked the final phase of the building’s transformation. The refurbishment focused on the revitalisation of the existing pergola, while the introduction of a new connecting wing established a deliberate architectural link between two previously distinct portions of the building. This intervention not only strengthened the building’s spatial connectivity but also unified its architectural language, concluding its evolution with a cohesive and considered addition.

MMK Architects were appointed to undertake alterations to this historic building in 1989 and again in 1999, converting it from a residential home into an art gallery. Opened in 2000 as the Ron Belling Gallery, the space was named after the acclaimed artist whose collection formed the core of the gallery’s exhibition. Every intervention was carefully designed to respect and extend the original architecture, preserving its unique curves and defining architectural character.
