Ceilings don't usually go from fine to sagging overnight. They give you warning first, and most people miss it.

Things worth checking:
- Cornices starting to pull away from the ceiling or the wall
- Screw holes or cracks showing up in plasterboard
- A bit of give when you push gently up on the ceiling

That last one is the big one. If it moves, it's already coming away from the joists.

Leave it long enough and re-strapping stops being an option. Then you're not paying for a repair, you're paying for a whole new ceiling.

Have a look up once a year. Takes five minutes.

Ceiling sagging is an issue that can have serious consequences if not addressed in a timely manner. Prevention is always better than cure...

Sadly, this is more common than most of us realise, but we see it way more than we'd like.
If you are having a bathroom renovation and haven't opted to fit our tile trim (which saves on ripping out the original cornice) please make sure your new cornice is not being fitted with cornice cement as it won't stick to tiles surfaces, and the result is.......

Did you know removing your cornices carries the risk of damaging the ceiling in the process?
It's not always the case, but it can, (and does) happen.

The easiest way to jazz up plain cornice profiles is to fit our 'Easy Cornice' onto your plain cove type cornices. Not only does it save on risking further expense if the ceiling gets damaged, but it saves on mess as there is less dust involved.

As our photo demonstrates, they fit onto the bottom (at the wall) and the top (on the ceiling) of the existing cornices and change the plain cornice into a more ornate and focal feature, which so many Perth homes are screaming out for, but sadly lack.

We designed them for DIY installation, saving on labour costs, but we do offer an install service if you'd prefer.
