There’s a reason I don’t start a design with paint colours or pretty finishes.

I start from the ground up — literally.

Flooring becomes the foundation for the palette, and from there I work through cabinetry, countertops, windows + exterior doors, exterior finishes, interior doors + trim, fireplaces, plumbing, hardware, lighting, and finally paint.

There are a lot of decisions in a new build or large renovation, and the order matters. Each selection gives direction to the next.

I keep the key samples with me throughout the build so I can continually reference what we’ve already chosen as new decisions come up.

Good design isn’t choosing beautiful things individually. It’s having a plan for how they’ll all work together.

When people ask what makes my approach different, I always come back to this.

I didn’t start in design—I started in home building.

Spending more than 15 years working alongside custom home builds taught me that the best design isn’t just beautiful. It has to function, solve problems before they happen, and support the way a family lives every day.

Today, every project I take on is built on that foundation. Thoughtful planning. Timeless design. And a home that feels as good as it looks.

This bathroom transformation is proof that thoughtful space planning can completely change how a room functions.

Our clients had a big wish list for a small space—a spacious walk-in shower, a larger vanity, and better everyday function. We also needed to work around existing plumbing constraints that required the toilet to remain on the same wall, while keeping the original windows intact.

After exploring several layout options, we realized the built-in linen closet wasn’t essential. By accessing that storage from the primary bedroom instead, we were able to reclaim valuable square footage and extend the vanity.

To finish the space, we colour drenched the room in a deep green, creating a dramatic yet timeless backdrop that feels both classic and inviting.

Sometimes the best design solutions aren’t about adding more space—they’re about using the space you already have more intentionally. ✨

Rooted in construction, shaped by design.

With over 20 years of general contracting experience, my approach to interior design has always been grounded in a deep understanding of how homes are built. That knowledge informs every decision I make — from spatial planning and architectural detailing to the layers that bring warmth, balance and longevity to a home.

I focus primarily on new home construction and large-scale renovations because the most meaningful design decisions happen long before the finishing touches. The choices made early — in layout, proportion, flow and function — are often what define the success of the home as a whole.

My work has always been rooted in the belief that thoughtful design should do more than create something beautiful. It should bring clarity to complex decisions, shape how a home lives, and influence the outcome at every level.

Because the most compelling homes are rarely the result of isolated design decisions — they’re the product of expertise considered from the ground up.
