Job Type: Seasonal from May to December 1st

About Us:

Pearson Tree Service is a professional tree care company dedicated to safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship. We specialize in tree removals, pruning, and storm damage cleanup using modern equipment, including a grapple-saw truck.

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Grounds Person and or Junior Climber. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and want to grow in the tree care industry, we’d love to hear from you!

Position 1: Grounds Person

Responsibilities:

• Assist with job site preparation and cleanup

• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment

• Drag and process brush/logs efficiently

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Assist climbers and equipment operators as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience in tree work or landscaping is an asset but not required

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions

• Safety-conscious with a willingness to learn and positive attitude

• valid G license with clean drivers abstract (Dz preferred)

Position 2: Junior Climber

Responsibilities:

• Assist in climbing and pruning trees under supervision

• Safely operate ropes, saddles, and climbing gear

• Work with the grounds crew to lower limbs and logs safely

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous climbing experience is an asset but not required

• Comfortable working at heights

• Basic knowledge of chainsaws and climbing gear is a plus

• Valid G driver’s license (DZ preferred)

NOW HIRING: ARBORIST Crew lead – PEARSON TREE SERVICE

Are you a skilled Arborist looking to join a professional, safety-focused team? Pearson Tree Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced Arborist to join our crew in North bay Ontario minimum 3 years experience. We specialize incrane assisted tree removal, pruning, and maintenance, providing high end service to residential as well as take on large commercial clients.

Position: Arborist Crew lead

Location: North bay Ontario
Job Type: seasonal (April-December) min40hours a week
Pay: based on experience and certifications  (35$-65$per hour) plus bonuses 

Responsibilities:
• Perform tree pruning, removals without supervision to Arborists standards and safe work practises 
• Operate chainsaws, rigging systems, and climbing equipment
• Conduct aerial and ground-based work using climbing techniques and/or bucket trucks grapple-saw truck
• Work with a team of arborists, groundsmen, and equipment operators with a positive attitude.
• Ensure job site safety and follow all industry regulations
Operate job site to industry standards and manage employees to complete work order in timely fashion.

Requirements:

✔ Certified Arborist (ISA Certification and or Ontario certified Arborist, or willingness to obtain)
✔ Experience with climbing, rigging, and pruning techniques
✔ Proficiency with chainsaws, chippers, and other tree care equipment
✔ Valid G license (DZ /AZ preferred) minimum 3 years driving experience
✔ Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset
✔ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
