✨️Rustic Writer's Bureau✨️

Some projects can be really surprising when you start working on them. I was not expecting this piece to have such a beautiful grain underneath, but when I started sanding, a whole new vision for it came to life...

This one has been sanded right back to its natural wood and waxed to enhance and protect the grain. The drawers and back have been lined with a soft green floral design to lighten it, and the internal organiser hand painted using new shade 'White Sage' ❤️. It still has a few imperfections but they just add to it's rustic charm.

Perfectly Imperfect 🌸

This piece has been a real labour of love but worth every minute. A little project for my new baby niece' nursery, I cannot wait to see it in her little room. It still has many imperfections to work on, but that'll make for a great excuse to sneak over for cwtches 😉

Faux Bone Inlay Dresser

Inspired by Anthropologie Home, i thought this little Ikea rast chest of drawers was the perfect model for this next project....

The base colour is painted in Fusion Mineral Paint UK 'Pressed Fern' and the white overlay in Cornish Milk Mineral Paint 'Flour Sack', using a combination of stencils to create the design.

This little drinks cabinet has been a real labour of love but totally worth it.

I've been putting this one off for 2 years as she needed a fair but of work. The base fell apart due to wordworm damage (common with pieces of this age) and she had a fair few dings to the vaneer, but after a good bit of TLC and a new base made, she's finally making her debut!

This piece has been painted in Cornish Milk Mineral Paint 'Blackcurrant', a luxuriously deep purple and finished with gold leaf legs and a floral design. An elegant piece ready for a new home....Cocktail anyone? 😜

STAG SIDEBOARD

It's true when they say they don't make furniture like they used to!

This stunning Stag 3 door sideboard is such a sturdy and well built piece and with many items from it's era, a very well looked after beauty. All she needed was a little makeover for a modern lift...

Painted in Fusion Mineral Paint 'Homestead Blue' and sealed with Polyvine Satin Varnish. The legs and frame have been sanded and waxed and the drawers lined with a floral paper for elegant feel 🌿

This lovely vintage wardrobe has been lightly sanded to reveal the beautiful wood mouldings and refinished in Fusion Mineral Paint 'Paisley', a lovely soft blue which complements the wood perfectly.

Sealed with satin top coat for protection this one is ready to stand tall in a new home.

✨Commission Piece✨

What a pleasure working on this piece!

Handed down from generation to generation, the owner of this beautiful vintage bureau decided it was time for it have a little TLC and i have to say they had the perfect vision for it.

They chose in 'Goose' to soften the body which compliments the beautiful oak vaneer drawer fronts and original hardware perfectly👌

Internally i removed and redesigned the organiser, removing its dividing slots and scalloping detail to make space, and re-working them to create an optic illusion of where they once sat (another fab vision from its owner). Finishing it in matching paint of the body to give it depth and contrast against the natural oak wood surround.

I think this has been my favourite piece of furniture to work on to date!

This solid pine chest of drawers has had a complete refinish. It's been stripped back to expose it's stunning wood grain and partially painted using a custom blend of Cornish Milk Mineral Paint 'Samphire' & 'Black Rock', to create a beautiful deep green shade which compliments the white washed natural pine top & drawers.

The piece consists of 7 drawers (3 top and 4 large lower) with gold metal pull handles and has been finished with a satin top coat accross the paint and a natural furniture wax on the exposed wood to enhance it's grain.

Webbed Cane

Another little home project complete. I LOVE a webbed cane chair but i find they are sooooo expensive, so you can imagine my excitement when this piece popped up on Marketplace 😆

I lightly sanded and primed then painted the frame in 'Black Rock' and sprayed the natural cane webbing in 'Bake House' - such a nice pairing i think. I replaced the fabric on the seatpad with an oatmeal linen effect fabric and tadah...here she is refreshed and like new!
