Whilst still a specialist in the restoration of antique decorative finishes, Dominic Schuster Ltd has expanded to become one of Great Britain's leading suppliers and producers of antiqued mirrors. Our mirrors can be found in a wide variety of both commercial and domestic properties, ranging from one off framed pieces to entire paneled walls. All of our mirrors are hand-crafted in our Surrey studio, as an entirely bespoke process.

We’re looking for a permanent part-time Workshop Assistant to join us, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.

You’ll work hands-on alongside our founder, crafting bespoke antique mirrors and gilded glass pieces from the ground up. No experience needed, just a love for beautiful things, an eye for detail, and a curiosity for the art of making.

We’ve been very quiet on here over the last couple of weeks as the workshop has been crazily busy with some fabulous projects so there hasn’t been much time for Instagram! However, we think this was worth a little post - proof that Spring has arrived because our beloved Truff has deemed the weather warm enough to sunbathe and the camellia is starting to show its full glory. Total happiness! Happy Springtime everyone:)

A little show of how to hide a TV with our antiqued mirrors. Both projects were totally bespoke and we worked very closely with the clients to create the look they wanted - beautiful installations hiding an every day necessity! A project completed in collaboration with - captured by showcasing this striking hallway installation, where the circular pendant lights form a beautiful reflection.

The mirror featured is our BP2 Fossil Old Bronze, finished with the same level of distressing as our fossil design, with bronze pigment subtly revealed through the antiquing.

Working with our clients to create bespoke pieces that sit naturally within their space and reflect their individual style is at the heart of what we do. Enquiries are always welcome.

1. Water Glass mirror
Formed from Georgian drawn glass, its softly rippled surface brings texture and movement to the reflection.

2. Charlotte mirror
Inspired by early 20th century German design, with Light Mercury panels set within a bronzed frame and rosettes.

3. Kensington mirror
A traditional panelled mirror in Old Silver, finished with a bronzed frame and matching rosettes.

4. Baku mirror
Hand-painted and finished with silver leaf, creating a warm, softly aged effect. Set within a patinated metal frame.

5. Banded mirror
A lightly aged, two-tone painted finish in a shallow domed frame, with antiqued Light Mercury glass.
Available in a selection of bespoke colours, including green, purple and yellow.

6. Antico Azzurro mirror
Formed from irregular cylinder-drawn glass, with softly rolled edges repurposed as decorative borders. Finished with palladium gold leaf and a shallow domed brass slip.
Also available in Rosetta and Verde.

7. Hercules mirror
A distressed white gold leaf Verre Églomisé finish, set within a dark bronzed frame, with the mirror plate recessed for added depth.
