🔥 TILERS COMMUNITY WATERPROOFING TRAINING DAY – HIGHLIGHTS 🔥

We spent the day at Palace Chemicals Skills Hub getting hands-on with tanking and waterproofing systems – and it did not disappoint 💪

From correct substrate prep and wet room boards, through to waterproofing to BS 5385 this was proper, real-world, Hands on training for tilers who want to do things right.

⛱️🌊 A Beautiful Barn, By a Beautiful Beach 🌊⛱️

We have absolutely loved this one!

It's been long days and intensive work, but we're confident you'll agree that the final outcome justifies the effort.

The customer reached out to us regarding an issue they were facing with their Vinyl click flooring, and it didn't take long for us to diagnose the problem.

The issue stemmed from the fact that the laitance on the flow screed had not been removed prior to the installation of the flooring.

A costly mistake that we're unfortunately witnessing more and more often with the use of Anhydrite flow screeds

After removing the laitance, we applied a liquid DPM to prevent any additional water ingress. Next, we used Kerakoll H40 gel adhesive to apply BAL Rapid Mat, followed by fitting 600 x 600 Augusta slate porcelain tiles from Tile Mountain UK, and completed the job with Mapei Color Plus grey grout.
