𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀?

Before a window ever reaches our factory floor, quite a bit of work has already taken place.

It starts with the SURVEY — dimensions, opening styles, glass, colours and all the little details that make each customer's order unique.

Back at Windowmaker, those site measurements are checked and transposed into a clearer working specification before the order is entered into Evolution which is our window and door processing software.

From there, the information that started life as measurements and sketches becomes the detailed specification needed to manufacture the customer's actual windows.

And because 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗮, that information doesn't simply disappear off to somebody else's factory to get made.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄: 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲

This week we’re taking you behind the scenes — from the first survey and drawings, through quoting and manufacturing, right through to installation.

At our Swansea factory, we manufacture our own uPVC standard casement and flush-fit windows and doors, giving us control over the process from specification through to the finished product.

Alongside our own manufactured range, we can also provide composite doors, aluminium products, bifolds and warm-roof solutions from our selected suppliers.

🏡 A GREAT PROJECT TAKING SHAPE

We thought we’d share this fantastic extension project we’re delivering for one of our customers.

The brief called for clean, contemporary lines and slim sightlines—maximising the view, opening the home to the garden and helping to bring the outside in.

This made aluminium the perfect choice. Its strength allows for slimmer frames and larger areas of glass, creating brighter spaces without compromising on style or performance.

You may notice that the protective tape is still in place. As with many ongoing home-improvement projects, it has been left on temporarily to protect the aluminium while the surrounding render is completed.
We have also presented images of what we think the finished project will look like.

🔄 WHAT’S THE NEXT BEST THING TO A 5-STAR REVIEW?
A CUSTOMER WHO COMES BACK.

And that’s exactly where we were yesterday.

The first time around, these customers chose Windowmaker for four windows at the rear of their home.

During that installation, they asked our experienced fitting team whether they should also replace their bay window.

After inspecting it, our installers gave them a simple answer:

🏡 From an extension in Bridgend to internal French doors in Clydach — and another wonderful 5-star review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There’s so much happening at Windowmaker, but nothing is more rewarding than seeing our customers genuinely happy with their purchase.

We had a rocky start to this week’s schedule, but we kept our customers informed and fitted their new French doors yesterday. Thankfully, they told us they were well worth the wait — and were delighted enough to leave us a fantastic review.

Their conservatory previously felt like an extension of the living room. Now, with their new internal French doors, they can close it off whenever they choose and enjoy it as a separate room.

Another customer’s vision brought to life — and another lovely reminder of why we do what we do. 💚
