King Water Craft Design set out to streamline production and expand their range with a new model. TysonD developed the K6000 to minimise welding without compromising strength, validated through our in-house FEA analysis, shown here on the ski pole.

The result: faster production, better material utilisation, and the confidence that every part is built to handle whatever it faces in the field.

We’re excited to see the first KingWatercraft K6000 by TysonD hit the water following the successful completion of hull #1.

TysonD were entrusted by King Watercraft to design the K6000 as a key step in strengthening their brand and product offering. Our focus was simple: deliver measurable performance and manufacturing gains.
The result is a performance-driven hull engineered for higher top speeds, improved fuel efficiency, and confident seakeeping in the short, sharp chop typical of New Zealand conditions.

The K6000 sets a new benchmark for the King Watercraft range -combining enhanced on-water capability with a smarter, more efficient manufacturing approach.

TysonD is proud to continue our partnership with Spirit Yachts - masters of the “modern classic” in boatbuilding. Renowned for their contemporary, elegant design style, long overhangs, smooth lines, and timeless beauty, each Spirit yacht is handcrafted from sustainably sourced wood to be as stunning in 100 years as it is today.

We’ve assisted Spirit in adopting a modern CAD system and advancing their design engineering capabilities. Most recently, we completed a training program with their newest recruit to the design office, helping them build confidence in their tools and workflows.
