The mood, the moment, the canvas!

We've been up to something a bit different lately. This beautiful property was originally stained approximately 14 years ago and was in need of a freshen up.

What did we do?
A full house wash and timber treatment followed by application to cedar cladding in Sikkins HLSE in Ebony. Soffits were painted in Dulux Weathershield Low Sheen - 1/4 Silversand.

To the clients, thank you so much for being so flexible and understanding through this process. We hope you love it just as much as we do!

From first glance the detail is evident, with the exposed timber rafters, soffits, counter-levered front deck, glazed garage doors, and complex concrete and stonework among the standout features. Once inside the quality continues with an impressive oak stairway – leading up to the main level, boasting beautifully crafted oak-framed glass stacker doors, exposed rafters, built-in cabinetry, and generous, well-proportioned rooms. 🔵🟡🔴⚫️ Billy Guyton Memorial Cup 🏆

Tomorrow’s Premier fixture between NBS ACOB Cricket Club - Athletic College Old Boys CC Nelson and Stoke-Nayland will be a special one as it is the first time the clubs have met since the passing of Billy Guyton, who started his club cricket in Stoke and was an active player at ACOB when he sadly passed.

A very close friend of Billy, Aaron Mallinson, from Total Decorating Nelson Limited has donated the Billy Guyton Memorial Cup for both teams to play for in this fixture (and subsequent one and two day matches) in memory of a popular teammate, loyal friend and talented athlete that frankly left this world far too early.

The first edition of this battle taking place in November, where the spotlight is on Men’s health, is also poignant and gives an opportunity for the wider groups of each club to remind their membership that every life matters, and reinforce the importance of checking in on their mates and being there for each other.

Globally, on average, one man dies by su***de every minute of every day, so anything that can be done to let our peers know that the world is a better place with them in it is vitally important, and no doubt both teams will hope to be the first to lift the cup in this Nelson Cricket Association Two Day fixture.

A huge congratulations to Ellie on her awesome achievement of gaining the title of Master Painters Apprentice of the Year 2023 AND for completing a National Certificate in Painting and Decorating 🎨🎓

Ellie started out working in a completely different field – previously working on a hop farm and in hospitality. Her dedication, hard work and quality of painting is absolutely outstanding.

PREMIER SEASON UNDERWAY TOMORROW

The Nelson Cricket Premier competition kicks off for our red men tomorrow, hosting Waimea Toi Toi United Cricket Club at Marsden Rec.

WTTU are fresh off a thrilling win against Nelson College in a game that was played in advance, and will be looking to continue their form with a young side.

The Dylan Eginton led, Ryan Edwards coached Stoke-Nayland side will have other ideas, however, and boast a side filled with a mixture of exciting young talent and seasoned veterans.

All 12 players are returning from last season, with only wicket-keeper/batsman Lucca Hemingway missing this week due to University commitments, he'll be taking his place behind the sticks and in the middle order as soon as he returns. The club will also get a welcome Christmas gift in the shape of promising left arm spinner Ben Neale, who is joining the club from 2024 (He is seeing out his calendar 13th schooling year with Nelson College) and will assume his place as a much needed front line spinner at Marsden Rec.

The Raxworthy twins, Finn and Jonty, will be looking to continue to push for Central Districts Cricket Association honours, and both will be hoping to pile the runs on for both club and province this season. Explosive batsman Ryan du Plessis returns from a South African winter and will also be hoping to add to some big scores from last season.

Experienced batsmen Chris Dittmer, Josh Smith, Ryan Edwards, Darius Skeaping and Dylan Eginton will round out an imposing batting list, with Eginton and Edwards expected to shoulder some bowling load as usual.

Big Tim O'Connor has had a thorough preseason and should hit the ground running, as good as any seamer in town on his day, he will have a big year. He'll get able assistance from Jared Silvester, as the pair race to 100 wickets for the club in very quick time, and youngster Cameron Neame.

Neale will be a nice addition to the side after Christmas, but with several likely Representative players in the squad it is expected that they'll need to call upon old timers Ben Homan and Brendan Hodgson as required, as well as some other quality from last seasons Second Grade championship winning side, an envious position to be in.
