Este fim-de-semana o Observador publicou um artigo sobre a Matterpieces 🖤

O projeto nasceu da nossa inquietação como arquitetos: toneladas de resíduos de demolição a ir para o lixo enquanto procurávamos materiais mais sustentáveis. Começámos a experimentar em pequenas garagens, misturando entulho e ideias, até criar superfícies bonitas e funcionais que pudessem ser escaláveis!

Obrigada a todos os nossos colaboradores!

Criada por dois arquitetos portugueses, a marca nasceu da inquietação com o desperdício na construção civil e transforma restos de tijolo, cimento e vidro em produtos de arquitetura.

MatterpieceS na instalação da quinzena’24, com o tema “Natureza e Artífices”, refletindo sobre a relação entre a natureza e a arte do construir, num momento de crise climática onde é urgente repensar técnicas e materiais. A MatterpieceS com o tema da circularidade na construção, propõe um novo material feito a partir de resíduos da demolição, reduzindo a deposição dos mesmos em aterros e a extração de novas matérias-primas.

🏗️ Discover Matterpieces: a strategy for buildings’ circularity and an upcycling solution for demolition waste.

💡 Matterpieces combines an old crafters’ technique with a collaborative design process — a circular strategy that connects several industry actors to achieve the same goal in circular construction. The resulting material can be used for floor and wall tiles, furniture tops and kitchen countertops.
