A collaboration between .design, .studio.design and .

The concept for Radisson Blu Cluj skybar took a completely different approach compared to the classic design process.

We created an environment surrounded by a drape frozen in time—static and suspended. To recreate this moment, we developed a system of panels, mechanically mounted to the concrete walls.

​In this way, the system serves as both structure and finish.

By using 3D printing as the primary technology, the entire project was realized with zero errors and no downtime.

​We collaborated with the Spanish company to produce the full-scale panels, sofas, and the bar volume. Their vast experience with robotics filled the technical gaps, helping us bring this vision to life.

The terrace sits at the edge of the Danube, where the river widens into stillness near Orșova. Rather than imposing on the landscape, the structure was conceived as a precise extension of it — a covered outdoor space built entirely from custom-engineered components, factory-fabricated and assembled on site with the exactness of an industrial product.

Every structural column was designed from scratch and manufactured off-site: machined, drilled with deliberate technical apertures, and delivered ready to install. The retractable pergolas — integrated flush into the overhead structure, with motorized drive systems and concealed rail channels cast directly into the beams — disappear when not in use, leaving nothing but clean geometry against the sky.
The custom detailing carries through to every surface. Tables, chairs, and bar counters were each designed as part of the same system, sharing material logic and formal language with the structure above them. Nothing was sourced; everything was made.

The result is a space that holds the scale of the river without competing with it — functional, precisely crafted, and entirely of its own making.

A collaboration between .design and .studio.design .

The interior space boasts bespoke furniture pieces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the lighting fixtures to the display cases. The quantity of intricate details is impressive, with every aspect of the store carefully thought out to create a cohesive and visually striking environment. The furniture pieces are designed to showcase the eyewear products and provide customers with a comfortable and luxurious experience while browsing.

The store is a true reflection of the brand’s dedication to quality and the technical expertise required to deliver exceptional medical eyewear services. Every design element is thoughtfully inspired by the eyewear industry itself—bolts, precious materials, fixings, and other intricate components are reimagined in unexpected ways. These elements, often hidden within the construction of glasses, are brought to life as bold, out-of-the-box design features. The result is a space that not only celebrates the craftsmanship of eyewear but also invites customers to experience the artistry and innovation behind every pair.

A unique theatrical experience where the audience became part of the performance, sharing the stage with three angels. The warm angel, adorned with traditional wooden wings, and the cold angel, featuring modern 3D-printed wings, were part of a light installation that "revived" the fallen angel, wounded and equipped with metal wings. The light came from the audience itself, who, through sensory movement, illuminated each angel in turn. A pulse of warm and cold light, accompanied by sound and theatrical movements, created a profound artistic experience this May at . Directed by and produced by .studio.design.
