Yesterday at the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C., Planate Management Group and the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) formalized a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), establishing a framework for collaboration to advance infrastructure development and catalyze investment in the Casiguran ecozone in the Philippines.

The agreement was formalized by James Wilhelm, Planate’s Vice President of Government Affairs, and Undersecretary Gil G. Taway IV, APECO President and CEO.

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30, we will celebrate this partnership with a ceremonial signing and networking reception at The Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C.

At the VA Northern California Health Care System's Martinez facility, Planate provided design and engineering services to replace and modernize the hot-water boiler systems serving two of the facility's buildings. Our team took the project from schematic design through design development, construction documents, specifications and construction-phase support.

The design integrated new boilers, pumps, controls and monitoring with the electrical and plumbing work to support them, and optimized heating-water distribution to improve efficiency and reliability, all to VA healthcare facility standards and energy-performance objectives.

Construction management is where design, schedule, quality and site conditions come together. Our teams supported projects through constructability and submittal reviews, daily site oversight, quality and safety inspections, schedule monitoring, testing, punch-list coordination and final acceptance.

Across Europe, Planate supported NAVFAC EURAFCENT Public Works Departments in Naples and Sigonella, Italy, and Rota, Spain, helping projects stay on schedule and aligned with U.S. Navy requirements and host-nation standards.

In Keflavik, Iceland, our engineering technicians provided full-time construction quality assurance on design-build and design-bid-build projects supporting U.S. and NATO missions.

Across each assignment, the focus was the same: identifying issues early, maintaining quality through construction and helping move projects efficiently toward completion.

Reliable power and clean water underpin every community and every mission.

Across Africa, Planate’s teams helped clients plan, build and sustain the infrastructure that kept both moving.

At Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, our construction management team supported NAVFAC EURAFSWA Public Works with power, energy and facility upgrades that strengthened operational readiness. In South Sudan, our engineers assessed electrical and HVAC systems and developed recommendations for targeted upgrades.

For water and wastewater infrastructure, Planate supported USAID’s INFRA Field Support II programme in South Sudan, reviewing wastewater treatment and water purification upgrades from design through construction sequencing.

That same focus on quality carried through our construction observation and management work across the region, including the AU-PANVAC vaccine production center in Bishoftu, Ethiopia, the Health Emergency Operations Center in Dakar, Senegal, and the U.S. Embassy upgrade in Pretoria, South Africa.

Across each project, our teams combined local knowledge, technical expertise and international standards to support infrastructure designed for long-term performance and mission continuity.

What keeps a facility safe, reliable and operational starts with understanding what’s happening behind the walls, above the ceilings and across the site.

Our assessment teams evaluate critical building systems, including electrical distribution, fire protection and life safety, mechanical and HVAC systems, solar and energy systems, and building envelope and structural conditions.

Each assessment is measured against current UFC criteria and translated into clear, prioritized findings that help facility teams plan repairs, support funding requests and maintain operations.

In Honolulu, our team assessed historic buildings at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, reviewing structural conditions, fire protection, life safety and HVAC systems. Working with the State Historic Preservation Officer, we developed recommendations that addressed current requirements while helping preserve the historic character of the buildings.

Planate-ARGO Federal Services Joint Venture has been awarded a U.S. Navy project in Monterey, California, supporting the modernization of critical facility infrastructure through the replacement of an existing uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.

The project will help strengthen system reliability, operational resilience, and long-term performance for mission-critical operations.

We look forward to supporting the Navy and continuing to deliver engineering and infrastructure solutions that contribute to mission readiness.
