Massive (~8' x 10') hidden pivoting doors seamlessly tied into a blueprint sequenced panel set at a prestigious PNW museum remodel. Even with these fantastic pivot hinges, we needed to get very creative to engineer doors of this size that would function without sag or warp. We created torsion boxes from foam-core panels and LVL, before veneering and panelizing the outside faces with the correct slip-matched veneer from the sequenced set. Even after those measures, these doors were still unbelievably heavy, and the shipping and installation teams made magic happen on site.

Kudos to our amazing team, from estimating and project management through engineering, fabrication and installation for making these happen.

Crestmark Millwork is honored to have provided all the custom millwork for the extensive amenity spaces on this project. The Helen Diller Anchor House included one of the largest and most custom Architectural Millwork Packages we have ever seen, let alone produced and installed ourselves.

Congratulations on your grand opening, UC Berkeley!

The 14-story building's design is intended to transform the transfer student experience by prioritizing residents' well-being and potential for success.

The Prism Apartments in San Francisco was honored with the Ralph B. McClure Craftsmanship Award.

The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park won the Bernard B. Barber Award for Excellence in Design.

The Ralph B. McClure Craftsmanship Award recognizes exceptional craftsmanship and installation of architectural millwork. Crestmark Millwork proudly received this accolade for our work on the Prism in downtown San Francisco, a project in collaboration with IwamotoScott Architecture and Build Group, Inc..

The Bernard B. Barber Jr. Award for Excellence celebrates design professionals for projects where architectural millwork plays a pivotal role. CAW Architects, Inc. received this honor for their remarkable design of The Guild Theater, Menlo Park, with Crestmark Millwork acknowledged as the fabricator of the award-winning millwork design. Vance Brown, Inc. was the GC on this project.

The deceptive simplicity of the slat wall!

These in-progress installation photos are the result of months of engineering and coordination. Necessary alignment between equally spaced Ash planks and stair treads was dictated by precisely located welded steel fins at railing and stringers. Blackened metal spacers and internal all thread attachment required an imaginative CNC machining program and careful shop assembly. After all that, our install team had to use plenty of ingenuity to get the pieces fit correctly in the field.

Crestmark Millwork was privileged to supply the custom millwork for this UCSF building in the Mission Bay neighborhood in San Francisco.

Now housing the UCSF Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision, this project was a nice blend of functional casework and high-end wood elements.

The veneer of choice on this project was quarter cut stained Eucalyptus, which imparts beauty and warmth wherever it is found.

Notable millwork features on this project includes the auditorium paneling, a 40' floor-to-ceiling "block" feature wall, and numerous reception desks.
