I believe children should be active participants in preparing for their own school year! It gives them the opportunity to choose their supplies while encouraging decision-making and responsibility!
Something as simple as choosing their folders, pencils, and notebooks becomes an opportunity to practice making decisions, expressing preferences, and preparing for what’s ahead.
We aren’t “just” school-supply shopping! We’re also building independence, confidence, and life skills one little decision at a time.
