Ever had a biscuit so big you barely needed anything else for breakfast? π§
That's pretty much the idea behind old-fashioned Southern cathead biscuits. They're big, fluffy, a little uneven, and honestly, that's part of what makes them so good.
The edges turn golden in the oven while the middle stays soft and tender. Break one open while it's still warm, add a little butter, and you've got something worth getting out of bed for.
They're especially good with sausage gravy, but I wouldn't turn one down with a little honey either.
No fancy shaping or biscuit cutters needed. Just good homemade biscuits the way folks have been making them for generations.
I've put the ingredients and steps in the comments for anyone wanting to give them a try.
