Techno metal posts came out to get us some post supports for our wrap around porch. Unfortunately, they hit ledge pretty quickly in 3 spots, but 5 out of 8 posts isn’t too bad! Excited to get the exterior of the Lunenburg project going finally after this long winter!

On level 1 of this stacked duplex we’re using a Zehnder ERV with their comfoflex ducts. They fit in 2x4 walls which lets us keep ductwork out of the ceiling (which needs to maintain a one hour rating) and come with some really nice components like these register boxes and tags to keep track of everything!

Progress at our dental practice project! To support the new additions we had to upgrade the building to 3phase power. This pad with oil containment will receive the new transformer.

Hiding in plain site: a small deck landing that’s built to last! Over the ZIP sheathing, we apply ice and water shield and seal it with ZIP tape to protect behind the deck ledger. The deck framing members got a rubberized waterproof coating and they’re pitched slightly away from the house to direct water runoff. Copper flashing is installed on top of the ledger since (copper is used for compatibility as aluminum tends to corrode when in contact with pressure-treated wood). Once all the protective layers are in place, the siding goes back up and you’re left with a clean, durable install made to last for years.
