I don’t know who needs to hear this but according to what y’all said in spring and our heavy wetland environment now is a great time to plant….the wet spot! If you have a section of the lawn that turns into a soupy mess every spring and fall we are here to tell you to plant now and lean in. This area was built leveling wetlands 😿 and the ghost of those wetlands are making themselves known every spring in your yard. Planting water lovers now especially with this relatively wet year is going to be SUPER helpful to have everyone acclimate accordingly. Seasonal vernal pools and fens (the wet spot) are a crucial part of our ecosystem that should be fostered and you will be shocked the amount of habitat created just by leaning into the wet spot. Planting now and watering accordingly to have it acclimate to the fall rain is super ideal. Rain gardens don’t have to be some crazy process it’s all about how crazy you want to go. Put water lovers in the water spot and you’ve done it! We have tons of options because we have tons of plants who yearn for the soggy spot. You will thank us later 🐸

It’s that time of year and you know the drill! If you are seeing this it has started. All flowers, grasses, ferns, shrubs and trees on the table. All plants native to the Northeastern US. We just potted a bunch of seedling so smaller sizes available for the economical gardener. Plus a bunch of plants are back in stock that sold out in spring. Not ephemerals though you’re encouraged to ask for next season.
