NO BLANDNESS HERE! The energy at High Point Market this season was full of color, creativity, and community. Femininity showed off in almost every showroom, as if she were on vacation and had shown up to have her moment, curvaceous and spectacularly beautiful. Vendors tapped into the need for texture, pattern play, and warmth to create interest. Bold colors trampled sameness, elevating every room.

You see, for those who look from afar and think, “not for me,” we, as designers, raise your fear of color with energy and joy. We ask you to trust us; after all, you hired us. Remember, we are here to navigate your dreams and bring them to fruition.
The most interesting canvas is within your designer's imagination.

Joy is the truest form of happiness. Surrounded by this community, Interior Design Society and Interior Design Society, Columbus Chapter has brought me so much joy. The beauty of the hive buzzing this week: sharing in a joint vision in design, expanding our businesses, creating vision for local chapters, and most of all, supporting one another. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude.

Last night, we at Autumn Dawn Design brought home a 1st Runner-up Designer of the Year award. I say we because, as designers know, we can’t do it alone. The project, Winter Berry Jewel, was a teen hangout space in the entertainment area of a full basement project. The power of a good team can never be ignored on these projects!

Thank you to everyone this week who loved, inspired, encouraged, created, laughed, envisioned, and most of all believed especially our Interior Design Society staff y’all outdid yourselves at this conference!!

What a beautiful Interior Design Society, Columbus Chapter Launch we had on Wednesday. The design scene here in Columbus is an impressive, talented community! There are seasons in life when you look back and think, "How did I do that?" The season of life when you reflect and look back to realize that the dreams and goals are happening; the things you only hoped for are coming to light. The discernment of truly feeling fulfilled, surrounded by people who inspire the hell out of you, and your heart feels fortunate to breathe the same air. The moments of reflection are sublime.
